More tips for header install, I know you will love me for these. If you havent done the hoses you will have a bit more room. 1. Do Not completely try and remove dipstick. Take bolt out for DS and pull up, leave it alone. You leave the rear spark plug in on pass. side. Lower cats and manifolds out bottom, bolts on top, parts on bottom. Once manifold is out take out tube. All dipsticks usually take a little massaging for install. I will know in a minute. Now it has been 2hrs and 20 min (had to stop to work! What kind of shit is that!) Both headers and X and all 4 02s are in. Need to torque headers, 7plugs and 8 wires and then I am starting it open X!

I didnt get a chance to take the rest of the pics, but I will post what I did take tonite. Impression: I told you the tricks already. EXTREMELY quiet with stock muffs. Almost 0 diff at idle and cruise. WOT sounds good, but aint gonna get it. Power, 1st standing start tire smoking launch I ever did. I did try to, but not expecting that! Mid range and top end it never stops pulling. I do have 1 pipe on right side that on shifts makes a tiny noise and I will adjust tomorrow. Great Job ARH!!

My ARH, 1 3/4", are on the way with shipping on Thusday (Fed EX). Glad their stainless with the storm stalled over my house at least they won't rust! Honestly, if I wasn't doing a converter, I'd have done the headers myself. A jack, 4 jackstands and a socket set. 3 or so hours and you'll be done.
I just didn't want to have to wrestle with the trans on my back. I've done that FAR too many times. Doing the "oh man, I think it's slipping off the jack", nah, too old for that crap.
One time in particular stands out. Maple Grove, Pa., one of the NHRA events around '90 or '91. Laying, on my back, in the mud, bench-pressing a broken Turbo350 out of my old mans' L/SA Cutlass. With Dextron dripping in my hair, thinking to myself, "this is fun?".

Completed the ARH LT header install Sunday. From start to stop, including removing the old system, it took 4 hours and 6 minutes. On the garage floor and using jack stands! Extremely nice system and everything fit like it was suppose to! My hats off to ARH!
Now, any of you entrepreneurial types considering an improved underbody brace that allows more clearence for aftermarket pipes and increased strength?
While the spacers provided by ARH work fine, would rather have a stiffer brace that serves as a driveshaft loop and gives more clearence around the pipes.

My car must of been built on a Monday. There is no way to get the passenger side O2 sensor to hook up to the LT's. ARH was on the ball and is sending me an extension cable. I would have to cut into the conduit(?) that contains all of the wires because the connector barely sticks out of it. I even tried pulling it out of the wire bundle with pliers with no luck.
Couple of questions:
What did you guys torque the exhaust bands to? I did 60 lb/ft, think it is enough?
What about the two bolts from the knuckle joint(?). I just tightened the shit out of them.
Also, from the knuckle joints to the connection to the last section of tubing that connects to the stock mufflers, the pipes are not completely parallel. They end up being about an inch apart before connecting the last connection. I am sure this makes no sense, but anybody else see this? Is it right? I know pictures would be nice, but my damn floor jack just failed, so I can't lift my car right now.
Torqued spark plugs to about 15-20 lb/ft with anti-seize.
Torqued manifold down to about 35 lb/ft with blue lock tight.
BTW. This system looks damn sweet. I can't wait to fire it up, but no bung plug yet and can't lift my car to install it even if I did have one.
Thanks for every bodies help. I hope to find a bung plug tomorrow.

Do the ARH longtubes come with everything needed for intstall such as any necessary extensions for the O2 sensors or anything of the sort?
Secondly, I already have a VMS ECM/TCM tune for the Roto-Fab intake and 93 octane. Does Kirk have a standard 93 octane tune for the Roto-Fab and ARH longtubes?

While the spacers provided by ARH work fine, would rather have a stiffer brace that serves as a driveshaft loop and gives more clearence around the pipes. Also update on the tunnel brace. I got a chance to get the car up on the lift today and the BMR brace without the SCFs is 3/16" lower than the stock brace. So with the SFCs the added clearance for exhaust will be 3/8"
Also here is a pic of the brace with the SFC.

I believe the spacers provided by ARH are also 3/16. Assuming that's correct using this system will give the same clearance as the stock tunnel brace with the ARH spacers (which works well on my car).

You might also try loosening up the pipe joints and prying the pipes upward, then re-tightening the joints. That will normally give some extra clearance.
