Has anyone used the Rockford Fosgate 3Sixty? It looks to me like using the factory head unit shouldn't be a problem with this neat little unit.
Here it is. http://www.rockfordfosgate.com/products/product_de tails.asp?cat_id=1&series_id=49&family_id=50&item_ id=106187&locale=en_US&p_status==

That will allow me to run this amp http://www.alpine-usa.com/US-en/prod...del=PDX-1.1000 to power this sub http://mobile.bostonacoustics.com/ca...product_id=399 and this amp http://www.alpine-usa.com/US-en/prod...odel=PDX-4.150 to run 2 sets of these speakers http://mobile.bostonacoustics.com/ca...product_id=400 I think that should be a great system.

How do I find out what the wire colors are for the factory speakers, and are there any amplifiers to the factory system on the GT with the 6 disk head unit?

IMO use the Audio Control unit! http://www.audiocontrol.com/t34/17612/222456/OEM-Integration/Line-Output-Converter----LC6i.html

Looks like this one does more

Get the 3sixty.2. It's the best piece of car audio electronics released in the past 10 years in my opinion. Sound quality is amazing, configurability is outstanding, and the tuning capabilities are ridiculously good.

Ran this in my RS4 for a while... with the stock navigation unit.... absolutely loved it.

Honestly I sell product to Audio Control and I know they use top quality products. I have used them 10 plus times in my cars and have never had any issue of any sort! Not saying they are the best bu they are very good units!

Have any of you guys wired into the harness yet?

If I cut all the speaker leads from the harness to wire them into my processor will that affect anything else?

I was going to cut those speaker leads from one connector and use butt connectors to attach them to my re-q5.

Then use t-taps to tap into the ground, power and see if I can get by without tapping into a switched source as the re-q5 can sense dc voltage on speaker inputs and send a signal to the remote wire anyway.

Otherwise I wa thinking about tapping into the lighter thats there.

So many choices, but I think I'm going to stick with what I know. I've had very good service from my Boston Acoustics product in the past. I think I'm going to run the signal through the Rockford 3Sixty.2 then into the JL HD 4 X 150 amp. to the Boston SPZ 6.5. For the sub, I think I'm going to run the Boston 555 factory ported box. I think that one will fit the best in the trunk out of the other JL audio boxes I was looking at. I haven't decided if I should power it by the JL HD 750 X 1 amp or the Alpine DPX 1000 X 1 amp.

Alright, all the parts are coming. I went with the Rockford 3sixty.2, JL audio HD 600/4, JL audio HD 750/1, 2 sets of Boston SPZ60's, and for the sub, I changed my mind to a JL audio 13W7 in a custom sealed box. This sub is a monster, WOW!!!

Let me know if you get any noise with your setup.

Be careful during the 3sixty.2 setup... adjusting the clipping point can be time consuming and frustrating. Also keep in mind the more you jack up the gains using their visual EQ, the more noise you're going to pick up throughout the volume range.

It's a tricky setup and you will probably have to do it 3 or 4 times to get it perfect.

I know this is an old post, but curious if you got this done. My car audio guy is getting massive engine noise from my PDX-4150. It is even passing some noise just on a test bench. I had bought this amp when a store was going out of business and it had been hooked up to the sound board. I am in the process of digging out my receipt so I can send it out for service. I just wanted to see if anyone had found a ground somewhere in the system that might be introducing the noise.

Thanks in Advance;
Mike

Not sure what to tell ya. I have NO engine noise at all, just a little static when the i-pod is on pause. I have the gains on the amps turned all the way down, boost if any is done by the 3sixty. If I don't have the gains turned all the way down, I get a lot of noise. Having them all the way down is the only way I can run. I talked about gains enough that maybe that clue might help you too.
