So this morning, cruising down the highway nice and mellow I get a CEL. First code is P0172 (bank 1 too rich) second is P0175 (bank 2 too rich), third is P0455 (evaporative emissions system gross leak).

I believe P0455 is generally a gas cap code and I did fill up last night. I have removed and replaced the cap to ensure its on properly and have cleared the codes.

If they come back what should I be looking at?

If it hasnt been tuned it is probably the larger injectors causing the issue.

The tune was adjusted for the injectors. Maybe not enough? I can see that causing the rich codes but could it cause the P0455 too?

As long as your EVAP hose connections are good/correct and the gas cap is on, the blower/tune has nothing to do with EVAP.

Which are the evap hoses?

The ones that hook to the solenoid near the passenger cylinder head and the one that has the green cap on it.

OK, thanks Charlie!

Tom,

For what it's worth, I have had check engine light come on 3 times since new for loose gas cap.....THAT I KNOW I TIGHTENED PROPERLY. Light immediately quit when issue fixed. Believe it happened to my wife also.

Hope that is all your codes are...

Among other things, I recently had to use a little vasoline on the gas cap o-ring to get that code to stay clear.

wreck,

I see that you went with the FAST (65lb right?) injectors as well. How much boost are you running and what did you do as far as your fuel pump?

I believe they're 62 lb. Honestly have not seen the box or any paperwork, life has been rough lately, have not had time to pick up all my spare parts and such from the shop. just going by what I was told.

As for boost, it was ordered to be set up for 7 lbs. Since I'm not yet tuned I have been babying it so I cannot honestly say how much boost the gauge reads. that's all coming soon.

I didn't do anything with the pump. Neither Procharger or the shop I bought it from recommended it. If it ends up needing it I'll use either a Kenne Bell boost-a-Pump or the Maggie version (magnapump I believe).

You're correct on the injectors, 65 lb. Dunno where I got 62.....

For 7 lbs, I think you will be more than fine. We noted the fuel pressure fluctuation before even getting to the 500 HP mark.

As soon as we put the MagnaCharger 3.0 pulley (9 lbs) the fuel pressure would drop from 58 to low 50s and high 40s.

I have the MagnaVolt, but due to very unclear instructions, I have not hooked it up yet. Now that I think about it, this is something I should be asking Charlie about :)

The more I read about these pumps the more concerned I am that I don't have one. At what fuel pressure does the danger begin? I'm indicating around 62 lbs now, without going into boost.

Unfortunately it wasn't 7 lbs boost, it was 10. Way too much boost, way too little fuel pump. Back to the drawing board.......... Fuel pressure from 60 to 40 just above 500 HP. Can't race it til I fix this.

You try calling pro-charger? Why is your boost higher than similar applications?

Not yet. Assume they shipped the wrong pulley, can't think of any other answer.

I am pretty sure a D1SC comes with a 10lb pulley and that what you have correct?

Tom what size is the pulley? Should be stamped on the front of it :)
