My dad's GXP is burning oil like crazy. About 2 qts. every 3 months for the last 6 months. He has started to notice blue smoke but no visible leaks. I would guess that these two TSBs are related.

What is the fix for these and what should he expect if he takes it to GM?

Thanks for any help.
