My fucking key won't go into the OFF position. So I can't turn off the fuckin car. No idea what's going on I'm at my hotel almost 4 hours from home. Any help would be great to remedy this bullshit situation.

I have seen this before.... not sure if the same condition but a possibility....

if the car doesnt know its in park you wont be able to turn off all the way.... there is a switch near the shifter than could be forced out of location or messed up... I moved the small plastic cover over near the shifter and then it worked... check in that area... it might be the issue, if not that, i have no idea.

good luck!!!

Out of curiousity, would it have shut off if you had put it in neutral?

I tries shutting it off in every possible spot. Lol.

Ill keep an eye on it and if it gets worse I'm going to have to find the issue. Ill check out the piece under the plastic trim as well

This happened to me last year.. I did the same thing ..through it into park really hard and was able to remove the key. Brought it to the dealer and they ended up telling me there is no issue because they cannot duplicate the problem ..I was like WTF!!! Told them to Fk off. Went to a different dealer and they said yep.. sensor/switch needs to be replaced. Took them 1 day under warranty.

Just do it yourself! Hell, I'd do it myself even if it WAS under warranty still.

Was the sensor bad or just needed to be moved from the slam into park and now its good?

For me they could not get it to repeat the issue again so the 2nd dealer replaced it just in case.
