This is what Adams polishes can do. This is a touch-up with Fine Machine Polish using the Gen4 pads and the Flex polisher. Full process was wash with car wash soap + all-purpose cleaner to strip any wax, followed by a clay. Then a polish with the polisher, followed by a seal coat of Machine Super Sealant. Side markers, front vents, and front grilles are off the car for ease of working. They'll be put back on tomorrow after I glaze and wax the car. Then I'll follow-up with more pics! This is all to get the car ready for GONE next weekend.

Camera didn't want to focus sometimes. It wanted to focus on the reflections in the paint. :D

Hey, Chris, if you read this, post up some pics of your results after your work on your car!

Without further ado...

Looks amazing. Now are you going to drive all the way there after all this work or tailor it? Sure hope for no rain on the way. Such a nice clean job.

I'll be driving it, and I'll be taking my Adams implements with me to wash it there so it'll look nice for the car show. I'll also be careful of the route. Last time, Google Navigation took me through a two-lane highway in Ohio that was under construction. The construction crews had run the asphalt eater over it, but hadn't yet repaved it, and it was like that for a good 30 miles in stop and go traffic. It was... unpleasant, to say the least. I'll be sticking to the major freeways, even if it does make for a monotonous drive.

Since tapatalk keeps crashing when I try to edit my post, I'll add another one...

My cars paint isn't going to be nearly as nice as yours. It'll look OK though.

Alright, all done! Unfortunately, I ran out of light on the final exterior pics, so they're a little dim.

The job wasn't perfect. A few tiny scratches left here and there. It's about the best I can do in my apartment complex garage, where I have three feet free on each side of the car. I need a house with a proper garage to do better, specifically with better positioning the lighting.

Looks amazing!! Which Adams products did you use on the exterior?

Thanks!

I used Adams Car Wash (http://www.adamspolishes.com/p-31-adams-car-wash-shampoo.aspx) mixed with All Purpose Cleaner (http://www.adamspolishes.com/p-121-adams-all-purpose-cleaner.aspx) for the initial wash, to get the car clean and strip the wax. The tires and wheels were cleaned with a combination of Deep Wheel Cleaner (http://www.adamspolishes.com/p-884-adams-deep-wheel-cleaner.aspx), All Purpose Cleaner, and Green Wheel Cleaner (http://www.adamspolishes.com/p-436-adams-green-wheel-cleaner.aspx), plus various brushes (http://www.adamspolishes.com/c-55-detailing-brushes.aspx).

I then treated the rubber and plastics with Super VRT (http://www.adamspolishes.com/p-512-adams-super-vrt-tire-trim-dressing.aspx) (Vinyl/Rubber/Tire). The wheel wells were sprayed with the Invisible Undercarriage spray (http://www.adamspolishes.com/p-61-adams-invisible-undercarriage-spray-dressing.aspx). The wheels themselves were treated with Quick Sealant (http://www.adamspolishes.com/p-701-adams-quick-sealant.aspx).

I then clayed with Adams Clay (http://www.adamspolishes.com/p-1005-new-adams-made-in-the-usa-detailing-clay-combo.aspx) (mine is actually the older stuff, before they switched to the new made-in-the-USA compound) plus Detail Spray (in the previously linked kit) as lube.

For polishing, I used the Flex (http://www.adamspolishes.com/p-985-adams-flex-3401vrg-polisher.aspx) with an old set of pads and polishes that are older and are no longer available, but still work brilliantly. The modern equivalent would be the two-step foam pad system (http://www.adamspolishes.com/p-738-adams-basic-foam-pad-machine-polishing-kit.aspx). Polish is removed using microfiber towels, either single-soft (http://www.adamspolishes.com/p-588-adams-single-soft-microfiber-towel.aspx) or double-soft (http://www.adamspolishes.com/p-494-adams-double-soft-microfiber-towel.aspx).

I then coated the car with a layer of Machine Super Sealant (http://www.adamspolishes.com/p-139-adams-machine-super-sealant.aspx) applied using the Flex and a machine applicator pad (http://www.adamspolishes.com/p-720-adams-7-machine-sealant-waxing-pad.aspx).

After buffing that off using one of the aforementioned microfiber towels, I let the car sit overnight to let the sealant cure. Today, I coated it with Brilliant Glaze (http://www.adamspolishes.com/p-525-adams-brilliant-glaze.aspx) using a machine applicator pad (http://www.adamspolishes.com/p-719-adams-7-machine-glazing-pad.aspx). After buffing that off, I finally chased it with a layer of Americana paste wax (http://www.adamspolishes.com/p-423-adams-americana-premium-carnauba-paste-car-wax.aspx).

... Man, after listing all that off, I realize I did quite a lot of work!

Looks great! I have a three car garage and need more room! ;)

I'm going with Adams 2 step and MF pads. It's going to be a fast process as I don't have too much time. I'll top with Adams Quick Sealant and Patriot over that!

HAS TO be the best detail job I've ever seen. You do excellent work. I like the light in the pictures, too. I wish I could take pictures like that.

Kevin,
Tell me about using the quick sealant on the wheels. What if you get some on the tires...what does it do? I wanna learn this new trick. I've been sealing mine with Zaino Z5 when I rotate them. I wash the crap out of them and clay them, then put two coats of Z5 on them. Takes a lot of time. I'm all about saving a little here and there.

I'm an avid user of Adams Quick Sealant and I can attest to the fact they it's clear and leaves NO white residue on anything. The stuff is AWESOME! You can use on plastic as well as glass.

Wow, I'm in awe of your work. Amazing.

I think I'll be ordering a Flex in the near future...
