GXP bumper or repaint stock bumper with additional work? I put a poll up.
The GXP bumper project will cost about $1400 (max) for parts, assembly and paint.
Painting the stock bumper will be around $500 so I figured I'd add these to the work order:
- Paint the fog and lower grill surrounds body colour
- Paint the honeycomb upper and lower grills in gloss black
- Remove the Arrowhead and fill the holes
- Paint the rear STOCK diffuser in body colour
- Paint the rear honeycomb in gloss black
----
Either way, the end result will look custom and good. I'm just not sure which way I want to go yet ):
Which choice would you go for?

I say go custom. Too many have gone the GXP front.

Custom is always a good choice especially since it costs less. Can't beat the feeling of doing something unique.

Custom is great until you have the misfortune of a fender bender. The GXP is nice because you can just whip on the new parts and go.
Of course, you could go ALL OUT and put a Chevy SS front end on it.
I'll be doing a GXP in the future...

My car has been in 2 fender benders hence the body shop visit. Neither of which were my fault. Going through insurance for one party and the other party is paying for some out of pocket. He hit the bumper but the bumper was already pitted worse than an 85 year old's buttcheeks.
With the GXP bumper's price point, one has to ask if it's cheaper to do a GXP conversion twice (assuming fender bender) or do the custom job twice. I've seen how easily these bumpers come off, lol.

Yeah, I hear ya! I personally think the GXP front end looks a little more menacing. JMO though.

I agree. I think it looks the best on MGM (no bias :P)
It's one of those 'pay to play' mods I think.
