Hey Guys and girls.

Joined the forum cuz I am seriously interest and really close to buying a red g8 in Saskatchewan about 4hrs from winkler Manitoba/ or Winnipeg.

Will be priced at $17.5k with 85k km. I'm financing at 150 bi weekly.

What do you guys think as a community. Good price for it? Seems really reasonable after looking around. Cars Red red. My last baby was a 1990 Celica Alltrac that sadly died from rust after I parked it. Was doing a wire tuck and removing some things and just found the damage to to be to much so yea.

Oh and then I got a sunfire but HG blew so now I'm looking for a new car and BAM! G8 is fine as hell! So I'm super interested in getting one.
Help me out.

What do you plan on driving in the Winter? You know this car is only rear wheel drive.

Might want to take a good listen to the timing chain. Believe some people have had issues.
Not a cheap fix.

Ill ask about the last time it was checked. I know it wouldn't be cheap... Timing bolt job on the Celica cost me 600 and I didn't even replace the pulley or tensioner bearing :(

Also studded tires is my option for winter. I know all about its rwd awesomeness. How do I change the title cuz I only use tapatalk...

Maybe its just me but I honestly would try to negotiate on price a little more. Being a V6 with almost 100k the timing change will cost a bit.
Maybe try to get them down another 1500. The cost it would be to change the chain & water pump etc.

Hope it all works out for ya~!

OH!! And everyone I know is telling to stay away for this car and go for something else...... I don't understand why! They did the same for my old Celica. Screw em. If I get the car ill prove to them it's better then they think.

Not as sad as it could have been. You don't want to get into something that would become a burden.
Get things in order and another one will come along. Hope things turn out for the best.

Yea getting things in order is a tough job. Finding a good job now a days is really hard too!

Aside from my financial situation. Is the g8 a good investment? Better then other rwd sedans/coupes?

If it was me, I would buy a beater, wait a couple years then scoop up a GT... Hard to beat the LS platform...

I think that's what I'm going to do. Or work on getting my dream car back. Another Celica Alltrac. Was heart broken I parted it out CUZ OF RUST!!!

Love the aggressive body of the g8's tho! So sick!
