So just had a local dealer call wanting me to trade in/ sell my g8 to them. I thought it was a prank call but she was dead serious. I then entertained my self by asking what they had that was better then my g8... When she said impala I couldn't handle it I started laughing so god damn hard. :) anyways was some good stuff.. Any one else had something like this happen?
I've gotten a couple of letters from the dealership wanting to buy my car back. They made me laugh.

I got one of those "chance of a lifetime" letters from the local former Pontiac dealer telling me how the G8 was in high demand and if I brought it in they would give me $1500 over the current value.
Top it all off, they peddle Hondas.

I got a couple calls similar..... but the Impala is an awesome car!!!! I think it actually is the highest quality best car GM has ever made..... Obviously not as fun to drive as ours.... but its a hundred light years ahead in everything else..... I was extremely suprised when I drove the new ones.... and I think consumers reports ranked it higher than any "american" made car ever..... or close to it... ;)

Yeah surprisingly the impala isn't a rental/fleet dream it's supposed to be a good car. It's winning bunch of awards and I assume it will end up car of the year material. I get the letters all the time offering me $14k-$18k for my G8 all the time. I had a dealer call me and tell me if I bring it in they will give me $15k cash... I laughed, he said what's so funny in a serious tone... told him I sold it for $23k almost a year ago... he hung up. Made my day.

Letters are simple junk mail from a data base. Back in the day I used to create these for dealers when I was in automotive marketing. Now days, I get 'em & look for typos & other errors.
The best one I have received, dealer I bought my G8 from sent a letter stating they need (6) 2009 Pontiac G8s. I wanted to send the letter to my sales guy for humor. In late '08 they had (1) new G8. Bought it new in July/09, so it was one of the last dozen or so in the state. Yeah, they want more of these. 6 more, ha ha! BTW, the town has pop. of less than 10k. Most vehicles sold there are trucks, as it services more rural consumers compared to a typical metro area in Iowa.
BTW, my claim to fame, I have over 15 million pieces of my artwork in land fills across the nation.

Got a Chevy dealer who received my name from a list of potential G8 owners that might be interested in trading in for the SS. O called them because they are a respected and well known dealer in the state. I basically said for 46k there is many other options out there .. told them I rather purchase a new used C6 for that money.
Getting into work this evening I opened my email ..Now I just received an email from Buick asking to trade my G8 for a Regal ..LMFAO.. I almost fell off my chair.. A regal? .. yeah ok. Call me when you make a Grand National that is not a 4 banger front wheel drive car and maybe we will talk.
You can tell its the end of the year and they need to move their inventory. Im receiving emails and calls almost daily.

Check your mailboxes, they're at again!
I just got the chance of a lifetime. According(no pun) to my local ex Pontiac dealer, now Honda peddler, my car is worth a whopping $16,050.
If I want, I can punch in the "secret code" and see if it's worth even more!!
Gee Whiz, maybe I could have a brand new Honda at sticker plus tax, too. I could use the money I've got for a fuel system and really make a killer deal.

I'm now receiving emails from the douche bag dealer where I purchased my car saying my car is over due for its service. I called these idiots and told them my G8 is a garage queen and I only have 19500 on it and what services are you complaining about? They say I need a 20k mile service..???? Never heard of a 20k mile service on these.. plus they wanted to know who is changing the oil and I told them myself and its none of their FKG business. This is the same dealer that was doing burnouts with my car when I brought it in to get the water pump replaced.

Anyone know where they get owner info from? I have a 2001 F350 I paid cash for from a private owner, never sees a dealership, and somehow these asshats know I have it! Do they have a way to hack DMV data???
