There are several simple loan calculators out on the web. Just type in "monthly car payment calculator" into Google and there are millions to choose.

To BUY: My guess is that, with no money down, you're going to look at ~$700-800 per month. A lot depends on if you put any money down, if you have a trade in, and what kind of interest rate you get.

They are offering a 0% for 36, 48, or 60 months in some regions. So if you can get it for $38k (good luck), finance the whole thing with sales tax, reg, lic, etc. you are looking at about $700 per month. GT will cost you about $590-$600.

im thinking a 60 month term, maybe like 4000 down, maybe a little more like 5 or 6000.

I put zero down on my GT last April and I pay $572 per month (premium package) for a 60 month purchase. I think the out the door price for me was like $29950 after all rebates and incentives. My interest rate is about 4.5%.

$660 for a 30 month SmartLease, although it doesn't appear to be very smart :(

I did have them detail it and all that good stuff, plus it's fully loaded, very rare color :)

I just did the calculations, and I could buy a GXP in less than 5 years for the same payment:(
Time for a couple beers:drunk::drunk2:

If you get the GT for less than 29k total, and put down 5k, you will be looking at $400 or less.

29000-5000=24000/60=400

leasing an american car is usually not a less expensive option as they loose value so fast.

I totally agree,

At the time, I was comparing my lease to finance options, and they were dead nuts equal. Lease Payments+Payoff=Total Financed over 5 years. I knew I wanted the GXP ASAP and now it's a waiting game :)

It's still less than my Cadillac lease was :)

To the OP, when you arrive at the dealership, tell them you want payments of $350, then work them down from what they come with.

Yeah, here's how my deal went:

39mo lease, 15k/yr.
MSRP of $31,345, got it for GMS price of $29,086 (step-mother's father worked for GM for ~25yrs.)
$500 loyalty cash (lease, traded in my old GP GTP)
$2,700 trade in on '99 GTP
$2,000 down

Monthly payments of $397

My interest rate may be a little high, but it's under the ~$400 I was looking for.

I did some crunching yesterday, GMS on a manual loaded with the dealer cash but no rebates (0%) comes out to $647 a month on a 60 month buy. Not quite as bad as I was thinking.

Not trying to be a prick at all. This is in general, but when will America get out of the "How much a month" mentality? Ever? You should look at total cost too.

well most people are more concerned about month price over full price... Ever notice car salesman ask "how much can you afford a month"

When Ever I look at a car first thing out of my mouth is "I only care about 2 things... interest rate and sale price of car" the monthly payment is nothing more than a reflection of those two things.

Man, but it bums me out that you can't get the onyx/red interior with that color. :(

Honestly the bright red interior in this color would look pretty silly IMHO if you see one in person you may agree :)

Yeah but to me my interior looks darker than my Liquid Red, yet still lighter than SRM.

I still think they should have done a couple of different interiors like they did with the GTO.

Man you guys have some high payments...I could trade in the GT right now and get payments around 575-600. Of course GMS helps. Of course the difference can be spent on GT mods....

Yeah, unfortunately true. But I'd like to avoid the all-black interior for one reason: summer sun on all-black seats = toasty buns.

It's for the interior color combo that I'll likely not end up picking the SRM color for my eventual GXP. That, and I think I want a slightly more "aggressive" color. Seeing one in person may still sway me, though.

Also, GTPrix, you can settle the argument! Since the red/black interior is simply not available in your car, what do the gauges in your car look like?

I wouldnt have minded dark red or silver inserts :( My cluster is the same as the GT just with a GXP logo IE no red rings.
