Unfortunately the international shipping is a rough deal but I always try my best to take care of our Aussie customers when it comes to price and finding the cheapest way possible to ship.

That is too funny!

If you can e-mail me (kyle@bmrsuspension.com) some pictures of the car directly. I would love to have some on hand for our customer database plus I have a soft spot in my heart for the cars you guys have available over there.

First night for the season and PB's at both ends running N/A

11.647 @ 117.64

60' where well down in the 1.6's due to extreme wheel spin

Overall a good night of tranny tuning with 9 full passes complete

We have changed over from EFILive to VCM Suite

morpheousssv
10-11-2013, 03:06 PM
Back on the track after some tranny tweaking and we have another PB, 11.48 @ 116.58 with a 1.54 60'....

Question : do you guys think it is best to run out in 4th through the traps or get it to shift earlier into 5th ??? I am only gaining 22mph from have track !!

-Ray-

Whats the RPM in 4th?

Whats the RPM in 4th?

very close to 6700/6800 over the line Ray

not sure if it will improve mph if I get it to shift around 6000 and use 5th through the traps...just looking for others experience here and if they have tried similar antics successfully

Crazy Paul

One approach would be to lower the diff ratio and then use gears 2-5

My gears are 3.27, I'll log my next run next weekend and see where I'm at.

Looking at your engine specs, you have good stuff in there. I would hold 4th. You can try lowering the shift rpm, but I think you would be at too low an rpm in 5th through the traps.
Looking at your dyno sheet you are building HP right to the end. I don't see what RPM you ending the dyno run, but you can track back to 6000/5800 rpm and see how much HP and torque you are going to lose shifting earlier.

morpheousssv
10-12-2013, 04:18 AM
Yes I was sort of thinking the same however it just seems to be running out of puff from have track, doesn't stop accelerating but just not at level I would like as we are only seeing 22 odd mph increase :)

Thought about lower diff ratio but that would render the 6L80 1st gear obsolete. I want to keep using 1st on the launch so this heavy weight machine can move.

Yes easier said than done though Ray....All attempts so far are denying the 155/55R19 exist.:(

So anyone know someone in the tyre business that can supply the above size I would be MOST interested

Well it has been a long two odd year project but finally I have the G8 front runners I wanted. A huge 31lb unsprung weight saving over the front of the PPE and to look at it with the untrained eye I would say you would not notice anything different. A BIG thanks to G8 Ray, Eric Vaughn, Pace Performance Greg and good ol Aussie Crazy Paul for assisting in getting these purchased, shipped, modded and shipped again to down under.

Hey fellas check these results from using the new front runners was a win win for reaction time. I have always been in the .2s but check these out - the time slips from Friday night....Reaction times not too bad for an old fella. .203, .078, .032, .030, .019 and best was the Peter Brock light .005 (.203 was just getting the rust out of the system)woohoo

Well it has been a hard working off season for me, engine out, wiring out and just about every other thing to fix up the wrongs of the past AND it has been a successful effort. I now have new PBs for N/A tonight. 11.255 @ 119.66 MPH Cant wait till we run the bottle again in a months time to see if we can dip into the mid 10s ...woohoo I am excited :)

New PB last night at the Perth IHRA Motorplex...119.95 MPH in N/A format.. massive increase of 0.29MPH :) with all the logs for the night displaying wheels spin for the first 80 odd feet plus after shift changes. If I can get it to hook I might get to see 122-123MPH which would be pretty good for full weight "plus" street daily driver.

Well gentlemen another PB tonight at the Perth IHRA Motorplex...10.877 @ 127.73 MPH .. massive increase of 7.78MPH with all the logs for the night displaying wheels spin for the first 100 odd feet plus after shift changes and she laid down a little before the top end - easily sorted.. Again if I can get it to hook I might get to see 130MPH which would be pretty good for full weight "plus" street daily driver. Pretty happy night fellas
