I know its been posted before, but how much is the black window trim?
I'd really only need the four lower pieces, as my rubber is shot, but may get the uppers as well

So from reading this, the cheapest way to replace all the chrome trim is by ordering option C? Is option A and B referring to the same pieces in option C?

CP, I was in the garage last night un-wrapping the bubble wrap on these parts. LOL... These kits are awesome! I can't wait to finish installing the trim... It really makes a huge change in the G8's look... Just like the interior blacked out dash trim pieces I picked up last year...

You making it to Fredericksburg? Crap, I would be going too but I already got tickets to see Jeff Dunham about 2 months ago.
You still need to sell the last set? What's the total? I might just go ahead and help you out. MAYBE!!!:)

Not the best pic of window trim. I'll get a better one this weekend.

This is a really nice mod that subtle yet really changes the overall look of the car. If anyone else does a group buy over here I'm in for a set. I would have been in on this one if I knew it was going to happen!

Ray your car looks great with the black trim! Compliments the black wheels very nicely.

The concept is great & I welcome saving people their hard earned money wherever possible.
What needs to be understood is that shipping a 7 foot long box anywhere is not cheap. There needs to be one drop and if possible the other buyers collect their own trim from that location. It's counter-productive to have one person from California adding himself to a group buy of door trim in New Jersey. Might as well Airfreight just one set directly to California in that case, and save all the trauma and expense of roading something thousands of miles.
The greater problem is buyers dropping in and out. I must have quoted and requoted the recent group buy for joemomma about 6 times with quantites from one to nine sets all as possibilities at different stages. Finally we settled on 4 and between purchase and delivery one guy got kidnapped by aliens or his cat got cancer or something.

1: Roll all the windows fully down.

2: Front
You do not have to remove the front exterior mirrors, but just be aware that the front inch and a bit of front upper door molding is tucked into a pocket between the mirror and the side of the car. The front door strips only have 1 retaining clip at the rear which disengage by pulling vertically...so pull up an inch only at the rear and then walk the strip towards the rear of the car to get it out from the mirror pocket at the front.

3: Rear
Rear door strips have a clip at both ends and disengage by pulling vertically.

Not sure it has been mentioned here of not but make sure you cover the center posts with a couple layers of tape to prevent scratching it with the end of the lower trim as you pull up.

Great idea.
The long curved gutter strips are definately a 2 person job.
Might as well use that second person to help out with the straight upper door strips also.
