Hi Paul,

Can you get these and do they fit VEs/G8s?

Thanks:thumbsup:

It'll fit if you have the Series II type radio and the rest of the associated trim. Here you can see how much is different if you compare to a stock G8:

Aside from the Series2 iQ system electronics and screen...you need all new plastic panels incl the following.
Top speaker cover, Top gauge or airvent housing, Airvent trunking Y piece, 2x horizontal dash appliques, Applique for below the hazard button, Skeleton support box for the iQ unit, Skeleton frame for the climate control unit, Front curved cover for the lower skeleton frame, Gear surround with curved front (most likely a different colour to anything you already have).
Once you start with Series2 black (Jade Black) components then there's a good chance you'll want to continue....steering wheel switches, traction control switches, window switches, headlamp switch....etc.
N.B. The iQ unit you use must be the Ser2 SS or SSV unit and not Calais. [Jade Black & not Platinum Silver]

Just out of curiosity, if it's available, how much would just the upper gauge/vent housing cost, without all the supporting pieces?

If it could be done that looks good!

Hmm... kinda pricey for what I was thinking about doing with it, especially since I'm not even sure it would work. Why does genuine HSV have to be so damn expensive?

I wonder the same thing, but I suppose hey have to recover their development cost though over relatively short model runs

That IQ head unit is so much nicer than the G8 LCD radio. I'm now itching to do the 2012 HSV GTS swap...
