Nope.
The fusebox cover and the power steering reservoir shroud are very light in weight, thin walled and appear very strong. I believe them to be real carbon fibre. There is certainly no overlay thing happening with them.
The shiny chrome looking caps are not plastic. It's some non-magnetic alloy material which has been turned on a lathe. The oil filler cap is the only threaded cap which fully replaces your existing GM cap, all the other caps are machined out underneath to slip over and grip to your existing GM plastic caps.
The disc inserts for the tops of the chrome finish caps I cannot tell 100% if it's real CF or not. It's certainly light in weight, stiff, and strong. (When you tap on the material with the back of a spoon it does not make a plastic sound, it makes a sound like you were tapping on glass).
All the pieces pictured above come from the same manufacturer.

Cheap and easy project to remove the reservoir and spray whatever color you like. Just use a paint prep/degreaser first and paint meant for use on plastic.

Ahh I missed that.
I know mine isn't like that so it must have bin switched. I'll have to take a peek at the wifes later today to compare. Mine currently has the rubber boot.

I just spoke with the supplier.
Yes it is real Carbon Fibre.
While they do make 2 different fusebox lids in the polished alloy, at the moment they only have one style of carbon fibre fusebox lid available.
Edit: It looks like they've included the necessary cut-out slot in the Carbon Fibre fusebox cover to allow it to clear the protrusion on 2009.5 onwards fuseboxes.

The oil filler cap is the only threaded cap which fully replaces your existing GM cap, all the other caps are machined out underneath to slip over and grip to your existing GM plastic caps.

The Pontiac G8 brake fluid reservoir is a mirror image in shape to the Holden VE reservoir....so the cap still fits but the shroud over the body of the tank is the wrong shape. I can't see them making a run to fit the Pontiac G8 tank specifically.
