Based upon my experiences with 19 x 9.5", 42 mm OS wheels and Bridgestone Potenza 275/35-19 tires in RE50A and Pole Position versions, if you have a lowered G8 and you are looking at 19 x 9.5 rear wheels with offsets smaller than about 47mm, think about Pole Position 275/35-19s. They are one of the narrower offerings and can work with wheels with offset as low as 42mm without the need to roll or cut the fender lips, even on a lowered G8. If you are willng to mod the fender lips, you could use wheels with even smaller offsets.

So, if you have your heart set on some wheels that do not have the conventional-wisdom offset, Pole Positions might let it happen. The down side is the tread is narrower than most of the other 275s out there even though the section width is pretty consistant with other 275/35s..

Mine is lowered and the rears are 45mm offsets, just about perfect.
