I am home for 14 to 30 days at a time since its been in the garage I have been home maybe 26 days. There are a ton of other honey to do chores that trump my toy. It is a priority though before I go to the races in Austin if I can get it all together, if not then next trip home in 2014 lol.

These splitters look great! First cosmetic mod I did and it made the front end look great. It is definitely good quality and a steal at this price.

It's made from 1/4" ABS we did a CF version last year but it was very expensive.

Basically we overplayed CF ontop of ABS

Doesn't fit unless you shave it to match your bumper I shipped like 5 of them to Australia. Once they were shaved they looked pretty good ill see if I can find a pic

just put mine back on after having the front fascia replaced after getting backed in to and lowering the car 1". That made for an interesting install. Had to use a really small jack to put it in the air enough to use the big jack to raise it enough to put the car on jack stands. Then after installed I had to jack it up with the big jack, then use the smaller jack as a brace, remove a jack stand, reposition the big jack and small jack, remove the other jack stand and slowly lower it onto the small jack, then remove the big jack and then remove the small jack. That shit was like ice skating up a fucking hill. Gotta find a shorter big jack so I can get the car up without the chinese freeze tag cockshit I went through today.

I'm getting a lower profile jack. Even though it was a bitch to get on, I'd do it again if I had to with the same equipment. With it on and lowered, makes it nice, really nice. I also had the middle spacers extended a little for more of a nose point effect. Just a very subtle difference.

Yes it will help that because the supports hold the 2 pieces together making that crack less visible. I've installed the splitter on many g8's with a crack like that

The splitter should hide that pretty well. My old GT bumper was on its way to cracking in that exact same spot and with the splitter installed you could hardly notice the crack. The splitter comes with two cylindrical spacers that are maybe 1/4" thick. These will fit into two circular cutouts in the bottom of the front bumper that will push your splitting bumper sections up and hide the cracked halves nicely.

If you look closely at the red G8 in the last picture of the original post you can see what I'm talking about.

the bottom of my bumper is split just like yours, maybe even sags a little worse. the bohnman splitter has hidden the nasty crack completely, and it absorbs bumps that would otherwise destroy a new front bumper. i love it!

I hit the remnants from a blown semi tire recently and the splitter took most of the hit small mark on the center of the bumper but it still looks great.
