wierd noise when going around 3000 rpm

i have not been able to get a video yet and the best way i can describe it is an old chevy van getting up to speed, sounds like a chain or a belt i have an exhaust and an intake and i hear this over everything i know it cant be normal, at idle it sits fine, belt looks fine no tears so curious what it could be? sometimes a light knock at idle no matter what the temp but ive heard thats normal

How long has your exhaust and intake been on the car.

its not a trunk monkey thats the purge right? when u turn on heat or cold or w.e it is, its a clicking when accelerating lightly and can only hear it if theres a car right next to me, sounds like a chain and it goes with the revs and does not happen wen reving in park, and ive had my intake on just yesterday and was doing it before that and exhaust has been on for since december i believe

its not just at 3 grand its any gear till your at like 4 5k its just a chain sound and now i hear a chirping squealing type sound sounds like the belt wen i down shift into 2nd

A recording would help. If its getting worse I would stop driving it and investigate further or bring it to a shop.

well im trying to get a recording i had my mechanic drive it he said he didnt hear anything i drove with him and pointed it out and he still didnt know what i was talking about yet my teachers my friends and myself can plainly see somethings wrong so i made an appt at the dealership for thursday

Like i said i went in and it wasnt knocking at the time guy looked at me like i was crazy and warrenty or not they charge u to take the engine apart to look at it

im trying to sell this and buy a gxp or camaro maybe just a better gt and put a decent amount of work into it not quite sure yet
