That grid-mesh in the upper and lower grilles looks horrid there, it looks like it belongs on an industrial plant walkway.

Yeah, it's just an "artist impression" though. Hopefully the production version has a little better taste. It seems other people have different predictions of what it will look like. http://motoring.ninemsn.com.au/cars/news/8648110/hsv-confirms-new-gen-f-muscle

500 cars for this year. And we thought the new SS is limited. I agree with Paul that front egg crate is too industrial. But I'd put up with it anyway lol.

Chicken wire on a car. I hope they do better than that!

One of the local Aussie car magazines (Wheels) has said it has photos of real cars that will be published in the next issue and that the images released in newspapers in the last day or two are wrong with some of the detail. Hopefully the grille material is one mistake!

They could do something more aggressive with the grills and fenders! The headlights should be body colored too.

iPhone, Tapatalk, enough said!

mesh or no mesh, it looks better than the front end of the SS

May 15th we get to see the real thing.
For now this is what Wheels say has been wrongly reported by other news outlets.

Anyone have any guesses on what the US price for the SS will be based on those Australian figures reported?

You need to be looking at a Holden VF SS if you want to compare anything.

Those tail lights look as though GM had left overs from the Olds Alero.

Looks like GM America. Got its hands on it. Bastards. Keep GM America away from Holden

Last week I brought my friend to pick up his wife's Chevy Traverse. The sales manager asked me if I would trade my G8 in for the SS? I told him not too sure and the prices have not been released for the SS ..he said he was told 45k. ?? So I guess we will see.

Make it's way to 'Merica?

First HSV Gen F reveal pics:

Seams like they could of done a little more on the exterior to make them stand out from normal VFs.

No.
a) They're not made in Left Hand Drive.
b) As far as I know HSV's have never been thru the road safety & crash testing and approvals process for USA.
c) Not when they can sell here for 105k and the expectation there would be a sale price of perhaps half that.

I went to a new car dealership today and they expect the Holden VF to hit the showroom floor the first week in June. The Gen F HSV is expected in September with the GTS being first and the other HSV models to follow. Salesman at this particular mid sized dealership said they had orders on the books for 12x GTS Gen F at this stage.

Edit: Aww broken link...

Going on record to say that I never cared for the E3s that much. Looked too overstyled and borderline gaudy. I think these new designs are more like it.

The Senator has always been my favourite model. If you're going to kill, do it with class. But that R8 Maloo looks pretty sexy.

Still intend to do the Senator spoiler swap if I can find a bodyshop in my area willing to assist me :(

Have a think about which one you sit into to drive and which one Aussies sit into to drive.
The HSV drivers chair (right hand side) generally has twice the features of the left chair.
All the controls and knobs on the HSV drivers chair are on the right hand side....ie not where you want them.
Very expensive to buy and a headache to ship across the globe.
