Its under the dash. Just to the left.
Pop the panel out. And its the black box with all the plugs in the bottom.
Simple removal as far as I know.

I'd also unplug the battery before you pull the BCM.

trying to find bcm in my 2009 g8 gt....
Follow the brake pedal arm upwards, look in between the arm pivot and the steering column.

CP, what is the SIR system? And how do you disable it?
"Disable the SIR system. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling".

Also it looks like the BCM snaps into this plastic holder. One just need to pop the BCM out of the plastic holder and that can be done without removing the plastic holder right? (Plastic holder is shown in your BCM instruction with 3 tabs in the back).

"Disable the SIR system. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling".

Supplemental Inflatable Restraint, aka airbag. Either pull the airbag fuses (F40 underhood and F1 instrument panel) or remove the negative battery cable then wait at least 1 minute before working on the system. Of course step one of BCM removal is remove the battery cable so step two being disable the SIR system is kind of redundant.
