I had my computer redone a few months ago and lost the efi live files on it.
Do I need the old ones or just the updated ones?
I also need the EFI setup.
I just installed headers and exhaust today and PatG already sent me the updated tune but I forget the process, starting with downlaoding the EFI live program onto my computer.

I downloaded the EFI live program but it looks different from what I used last year.
I need to delete the files on the Autocal and load the new file.
How do I do this?

Found this in my archive mail:
First thing you want to do is download the software from EFI Live: It's available here: http://www.efilive.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=48&Itemid=133
Download both the V7.5.7 Build 211 software and the V8.2.1 Build 203 software.
Then open up efi live explorer and plug your device in via USB and you should see your folders.

Then I need to delete the files and load the new one.
Its a new program from the last time I used it so I am slowly learning how to use it.
I should also be able to delete them from the autocal but again I am a monkey with a banana, actually a monkey with a computer.

Looks like I need to delete the tunes in the autocal and cannot do that. They do not show up in efi live on my computer and I cannot delete them from the autocal.
I think that is what it holding me up.

When I try to read files from the auto cal I get a code $0101 no data recieved.
Either I am doing something wrong or I just don't know........
Do I need to go through a setup seeing how I lost all my previous files?

The EFILive Explorer program is the one used to manage files on the autocal. The installation files install a few different apps so make sure you run the correct one. You should get a panel with your local files on the top, and a panel with the autocal file browser on the bottom. From there delete everything in the folders on the autocal and try to read from your car again.

I did not have Patricks instructions with me yesterday but here they are.
First thing you want to do is download the software from EFI Live here ; http://www.efilive.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=48&Itemid=133
Download both the V7.5.7 Build 211 software and the V8.2.1 Build 203 software.
To read the files plug the Autocal into the car with the key on. Scroll through the menu until you reach the read E38 screen. Click yes and follow the instructions. Do the same for the T43 files. After you've retrieved the tune files from your car, you'll want to plug the USB cable from the Autocal into your PC. Then open up EFI Live Explorer. Select the Autocal icon (bottom right) then click the read folder in the lower right hand box. You should see the E38 and T43 files. Drag those out of the lower right hand box onto you desktop or save them in a file folder that you can find later. Then email those files to patrick@guerragroup.com
Patrick will modify the ECM and TCM files, then email them back to you. Before you load the new files, you want to remove any tune files currently in the Autocal as there is only room for 2 tune files at any time. Highlight the tune folder in the EFI Live Explorer, then drag the new tune files into the lower right hand box. It will take a few minutes to load in. Once your done, you can unplug your Autocal from your PC and take it out to the car for flashing.
Thats the directions that I just received a week ago.

Got it all figured out. When I installed the EFI Live software I think I used a link from the EFI's forum and it might have been a different version than what Patrick G uses.
He walked me through a few things and after it would not work he told me to delete everything and reload EFI Live from their website and that worked.
Thanks Patrick, had a great day at the track yesterday and got another PB. 12.70 after Stainless Works full exhaust and headers and MT Street ETs and his header tune. He was out of town and leaving his hotel when I called him, I am very thankful he had his computer with him and he sent me a file I deleted and should not have.
I will be sending the log files to you to check them out, I think it should have turned a little better time so I look forward to your diagnosis.

I thought that was you, I almost turned around to say hi but I was tired and was heading home from letting my Moms dogs out and was headed to bed.
My exhaust note was me saying Hi.
Meet up soon!
