I never thought about this, but the new 2009 GT will have 18" tires & wheels. I will swap them out ASAP for the 19" wheels and the 19" Michelin Sport A/S I have on the dead penguinmobile. How does this affect the speedometer/DIC? Or are they about the same diameter? :p

Not a huge difference, just have Kirk tune it for the 19s if there is a difference in the 2 tunes meaning the speedo calibration/gear ratio/tire size.

IIRC, the difference is only a tenth of an inch.

It won't make a difference.

I just looked it up, there is no difference.

Cool, I'll be plunking the VMS tuned ECM/TCM module from the dead car in ASAP.

Much grass. :p

You will need to have that ecm VIN matched to the new car. No plug and play with a used ecm.

Oops! I forgot about that Charlie. I better get going with Kirk ASAP. Jeebus! Now I'll have 3 of the little buggers. Can't decide whether to just send one to VMS and have it stealthed at the same time or go by email.

Whatcha tink?

I'll start working on a nice mount for the DashHawk in the ex-Atari slot too.:woohoo:

No biggie. Just send it to Kirk. 4GASEM recently had to do the same thing.

Charlie, Will the new car even run with the VMS module?

BTW, I went down to visit the Penguinmobile today to make sure I had no probs pulling parts off. Can you beleive the poor rascal fired up right away and I got one last listen to that sweet exhaust. Had to shut down when it got too smoky. :p

Went by today to pick up some parts, and she fired right up 3 times. This with a battery that has had no charge for 3 weeks. Can't let it run long, too many things rubbing against pulleys. Remarkable f'ing car!

You need to talk to Kirk. It won't run without him 1st getting the correct vin number loaded.

Ship him your tuned ECM module, he'll redo the VIN number for your new car. Have him ship you the FXP (to do the TCM) with the re-vin'd ECM and you'll be all set.
