I read in another thread from Grrrr8 that it should be 8.7 quarts.
6.7qts for the camaro deep pan
1 for the yank
1 for the cooler
where could I find the fill procedures straight from GM on the subject? just trust the sticky up top about the 07 Corvette ATF inspect/change?
I would like an official document that I can print out and hand to the local transmission shop along with my parts in a few days.

I'm on my phone but its posted on the web site. In a nut shell. With the trans at the proper temp remove the plug from the pan. If its too full it will drain out. If not, fill until it does.

can I just print out the sticky (http://forum.grrrr8.net/showthread.php?t=320) and give it to Mr Transmission?
does the 8.7qts sound right to you? Not trying insult GRRRR8 but nobody seemed definitive.

Sounds easy enough Richard. Give him 10 quarts, tell him you think it should take just under 9, but to make sure the trans is at proper operating temps and do the procedure like Ray said. Seems pretty fool proof if it'll start coming out of the bottom hole once full.

I ordered 9 quarts from Greg@pace. I guess I will taxi to a GM dealer and buy a 10th quart if it comes to that...

Ended up being 13 quarts of ATF
So glad I erred on the side of overbuying beforehand.....
