Installing Kooks LT 1 7/8 Headers and Solo High Flow Cats Wednesday. Have been searching but cannot find a definite answer. On the headers, should I use the Kooks or the stock gasket, and should I use silicone or no?
I reused the stock gasket, no silicone. That was over two years ago, no issues since.

Stock OEM gaskets (they're good 3-layer metal gaskets.. Can't get much better), no silicone.

I used the Kooks, no issues other than the driver's side rubs on the steering shaft.

I used the kooks gasket first but had leaks after a year or so and went back to the stock ones and no issues since. Been a good two years now.

Awesome! Sounds like OEM, no silicone is the way to go. Thanks guys!

I used the stock gaskets with silicone. No issues in the last year.
