The point in adding the Mustang and Camaro section was that the owners of them wanted a forum like GRRRR8 for them.

Trying to make the Mustang and Camaro part grow like the G8 part of the site was very hard as vendors/manufacturers could not see how they could benefit other then they did agree that they liked the atmosphere/attitude better then most forums.

Now the time has come for the Mustang and Camaro owners to have a forum like GRRRR8 of their own. I have a feeling there may be a Challenger in their logo too. :)

Never minded the diversity. I enjoyed muscle cars as a whole and grown up around the big three.

There is ex G8 owners that now own Ford/Chevy they're still a great part of the forum.

Still using the Darkvision theme, which means my banner is still the classic with the Camaro and G8. :)

Also, I think this forum is more of a performance forum than anything. I'd rather have all the guys housed under one roof. Still get to share all the knowledge, and the guys that have moved on to other vehicles still hang around and can offer up advice.

As for the cars in the banner...you could put a Beetle up there and it wouldn't bother be as long as all of the members stayed. It's the information, not the pretty pictures, that I'm after.

Mine displays this way only when the window is NOT maximized. See if you maximize the window the text centers up on the two cars in the banner...

Like Troy said, it has to do with the window width, not the computer. My desktop has a 27" screen so the standard window width I use was big enough to start with, but on my 13" laptop I had to drag the window pretty much to maximum width before it showed up correctly. Maximizing the window should make it wide enough in almost all cases unless you have a small netbook.

It's browser CSS related.. It shows correctly on firefox on vista/7 even when only running 800x600.. I'll upload a tweak to it later today that should hopefully help

That's why this is easily the best G8 board around and one of the best car boards. I think you clearly misread my post, because I am not a guy who bashes this board or would take "the other board" over it. Suggesting some things that are done well on other boards does not mean I look down on this board.

I think having a sub-forum is enough. Frankly, I would just force it all into the lounge, but that's just me. Just my two cents. Never claimed they were worth four cents. :)

Oh, for sure. I just find the board to be really cluttered. That is my main complaint (maybe even only) about it and something I really would like to see addressed. The new banner helps the look of the site exponentially. If you keep the sub-forums around, you should have an option to un-collapse them (i.e. have a link for the Camaro without the subforums being visible on the main page). Would make the main forum smaller and easier to navigate. No need to do that with the sponsor subforums since they are all the way on the bottom and they pay.

Could ditch the G8 car model lounges, too. Maybe just make one big G8 lounge where you just discuss random shit about your G8. I think that'd go a long way in making the board look sleeker and less cluttered.

Don't know about you but I can seem to collapse sub forums at will when I'm using Firefox. There's a little gray button on the right next to the sub forum heading that you can click and it will hide that entire sub forum. Always been able to do so.

Yeah I'm working on a few things - hopefully I'll be able to bring it back or at least change the default theme to something that will appeal to both normal & darkvision theme users (sounds like a tough order, but have a new theme ready for a trial run)

I'm only 31, but time spent in the desert without proper sunglasses (those Army issue ones are not acceptable) does not do well for someone with already poor vision. Guess I was lucky I had an ACOG on my rifle, and that the poles for our mortars weren't any further out than 100m. :)

But I always thought it funny that the Darkvision theme always had the old banner with just the Camaro and G8 on it. :D
