Can the arm rest be separated from the door skin? I have a small crack in the leather on my drivers door and would like to know if repair is an option.

It might be able to be swapped out, but i think a replacement door panel out of a salvage g8 would be cheaper and easier.

Not too many salvaged G8's in Canada although I'm sure it happens. Where so I start looking for these cars in the US? Is there a national company that sells used parts?

Cleveland Pick-a-Part is one, they are in Ohio.

They are on Ebay and there is another one that I have seen selling G8 parts on there too.

Thanks, guys. Looks like I have a lot of used options. I have to install the door speakers soon so when I get the skin off I'm going to see if the armrest can be removed. If so, there's a local place that I'm sure can fix it up nice.

Right now my options are all in the US which adds an extra layer of cost/trouble in getting the part.
