Paul,

Do you know how to separate the two piece arm rest I got from you?

Handle flip[s easily - is there any way to remove the top from the bottom? Maybe take out the rubber "pins" on the bottom, screws under there?

Also, i lost the PM regarding a switch package.

Looking at some other pieces from you also...with the switches.

I don't know how the top seperates from the bottom. There's no parts drawings or parts available for the sliding console lid. The only science experiments I've done were to do with the 2 latching pins at the front which were sliding inwards and jamming the slide. I starting fitting all the sliding lids that came thru with extra E clips to prevent the pins from jamming the slides.
Maybe you can see something in one of the pics from those experiments.

Something I did think odd about the design of the slide was the way the track ended with a ramp a few inches from the front. You'd think from a loading standpoint you'd want maximum support near the front, and having full height track all the way to the front would support more bending stress. Perhaps that ramp and the missing few inches of track are required somehow during the assembly process for the upper and lower to be mated. There'd also need to be a failsafe which needed to be removed (maybe the front latch??) to enable the 2 pieces to enter the sweet spot on the track that they couldn't otherwise reach.

I am more interested in just removing the cusion from the sliding base.

you are going to have to break thoes plastic tabs to separete. then you need to put rivets in the 2 metal tubes and drill holes for screws in the rivets. I will take pictures of mine latter

Yeah...I was hoping not to have to snap those tabs off...oh well :) I may have to...
