Ok so let's hear it. I'd like to get a spring meet together. Maybe a BBQ or restaurant followed by a nice cruise. Let's talk places to eat and roads to drive! Maybe even a track meet up. This invitation is for all great lakes area members or any one that wants to drive. Let's keep it's strictlyG8, 2012 stang and up, and Camaro. Idk about posting on the other forum yet. Maybe once we have decided plans and such.

FB group is fairly active.

Usually some friends do a Hell and Thumb Run. Some others do Tunnel of Trees...but that's a few hours north.

I would be down for whatever. Were you thinking something during the spring?

Yessiree maybe an early spring and summer meet? Maybe even a track meet.. Never been to a drag strip was telling Jay I've done road courses for years. Maybe even a road course meet? If we can get enough people maybe a BBQ at a local park? Then cruise?

Interested. Been down the drag strip a bunch of times in my T/A, but never the G8. Would love to try a road course too...

The Thumb route would be my choice, but track events are fine too.

If I sell my G8 soon I will probably pass. My classics like gas too much haha.

I will ask them about the thumb drive. There are always a few cool routes.

Looks like you have the Thumb run starting in Port Sanilac? If you're Detroit area, I94 dead ends in Port Huron, and heading north takes you up 25. Nice drive up to Port Sanilac from there, going through Lexington, etc. Some nice senic turn offs also.
If you'd rather golf that go to the track, head for Huron Shores just north of Port Sanilac. Don't need to hit it long, but you'd better know where it's going.....

I would be in for sure!!! The thumb trip sounds cool!!

I would also be up for a bunch more detroit local meets also... tons of metro parks around that work out great also as a side meet,,

I'm going to start searching that area for nice cheap places to eat and hang out. Mean while as for the more local meet and greet.. What would we do at the metro park? BBQ? Every one bring a dish?

There is nothing real expensive up here,at least in Huron county. Port Austin & Caseville have some nice places to eat and bs. The drive along the shoreline is pretty sweet. Huron city is a neat historical village on the east side.

It would be interesting to know where all the Michigan/toledo G8'ers are from?... Not sure how they put a spreadsheet on these things but it would be cool if we all had our screen name, name and city on a list to know where the groups are at... anyone know how to comprise a list like this and display?

There's usually a big meet every year at Dave and Busters in Sterling Heights at the corner of m-53 and m-59 with GTOs... Pretty good place to meet at and if the weather is good we roll out to Woodward at night.

That's sweet but I'm trying to stay away from Woodward and what not and actually have some fun :)

I am good with this also... this is a blast and there are plenty of good people here and its also actually some fun!.... I would like to hang out with a bunch of people that know and love cars maybe even more than taking a long hike up north.... maybe once up there... but for me mainly the suburbs of detroit.... I take my other car up north to tool around in...

not sure if you were being a smart ass or just saying that my thought of seeing where everyone was from was stupid... maybe I read the ... ummmm.... and the lol... wrong?.... would I call someone from traverse city if I am just going out for a couple hours?... probably not... just thought a listing of what cities and area each call name was from... thats all... didnt think it expected a response like that...
