night meet and track will be at Sealy. Frankenstiens has closed its doors and after last year I doubt they would host the event anyways. Mexico should be fun. I am curious how the Omni will hold up since the night meet has moved out to Hennessey.

The omni is sold out. Ill be going no matter what. But hopefully I will have the g8 ready to take down there. Tx2k is just as crazy as the videos make it out to be! If your a true car enthusiast bring some energy drinks/pills bc there won't be any sleeping going on. Lol

Omni is booked but you can call daily to see if people cancel their reservations. There is another hotel that is being used but I forget the name

There are 10-20 hotels in that area lmao. You will find one. Do Priceline and choose West Houston.

heck my car is going and I am slow lol. I will find some fun races but most of my runs will be at the track :) since I have a 3 speed trans that maxes out at 150~

^^^From a roll though you should have a good range to be in the power. and a decent amount of it I know big HP cars show up there and I think thats what Buford was saying over 1k HP is not a surprise down there.

We haven't dynoed yet but I am around the 1000rwhp mark. An near instant power depending on how I bring nitrous in. I would do well against large single turbo cars that take forever to spool.

But even at 1k and our weight I am still pretty slow lmao.

Houston has a lot of heavy hitters as it is, then you add in all the fast guys from all over the country and its a free for all. It's almost like you have the heavy, heavy hitters and everything else. The twin turbo lambos are in a class of their own. They just end up battling each other and destroying everyone else. There are plenty of "others" out there.

Playing on the street during 2k is fun but a little more risk than I choose to take now a days. With two young children (2&4) and a 3rd on the way the thought of my wife having to tell my kids that their dad died while out street racing keeps me away from Mexico now.

yeah theres several ranges of vehicles out there. Lets face it not all of us have deep enough pockets to build 1500hp Lambos nor would I actually ever do it. Different strokes for different folks. I am hoping to get my car together in time for this event. If not it looks like Bayou Drag will be my next event :(

I don't think im going to make it. My motor is currently torn down because i haven't been able to replace 2 bad lifters. Also i wasnt able to get the weekend days off only Wednesday-Friday. But im going to try and at least be a spectator :(

I made the giant mistake of going home that direction without thinking about t2k13 going on. Still on the way down I ran across a line of ricers. They lined up 4 across and I took the 5th lane slightly behind. They all hit it and I pulled the lead almost instantly (dear God I love 3rd gear) so that's a 4 kills 1 shot. With me on the smaller pills it would have been. I believe when I checked I only had 28n 23f. Or a 250 shot. Oops. I thought I put 300 pills in. But he'll at least it heals together for all those passes.
