Would anyone know a good selection of exhaust tips that would fit on the G8?
I am getting the kooks full system with headers and I don't like the exhaust tips that come on that system??
Borla would not sell the tips by themselves what about slp??
Any other??

Call me crazy... but I think something like the tips from TechArt would look killer on the rear of this car.
http://www.cecwheels.com/images/medialibrary/techart-magnum-exhaust-tips.gif
A company in the UK did something similar... on their "VXR8 Carbon Edition," which came with a positive displacement supercharger. They match up with the HSV taillights pretty good. Look at my avatar for comparison purposes.
Unfortunately those tips are about $250/ea I think, so it's not exactly very budget minded :)

Those are pretty cool looking. I have a set of stock tips that I've modified the opening to 2 1/2". I'm taking them to my powder coater to get them coated black chrome to go with my Corsa's red dB's.

So far, I've only cut into the back end of the tip to get 2 1/2" pipe to weld to it. I haven't been to the powder coater yet.

Stock tips are 2 1/4" diameter. You most likely have a muffler with 2 1/2" out. Also, the tips are too long for some mufflers.

You may have just provided me with a solution for those keeping the stock mufflers but who want to use different tips on them. Most aftermarket tips are too long to use with the stock mufflers. These are only 9.5" long and they appear to be made with quality (304) stainless steal. Thank you!
I measured the distance from the stock muffler to the edge of the tips - it's about 12". I think it's possible to remove the stock tips and have these new 9.5"ers welded on . I will likely find out for certain over the next month or so.

Have you noticed the ones on my G8 - SF Magnaflow tips - look like an oval race track. Was going to send you a pix, but am on laptop. Believe they show up on my 2 tire threads - 285's and 17" wheels. Just type in my name in search.
Charlie asked about them and I believe he has contacted SF (Ryan Messina)
Know they are reasonable if you have any interest.
