Whincup said after clinching the title, he's going to do everything he can to own the car he drove this year. It's the most winning car (chassis # xyz) ever in the series. It's quite old apparently. Yes they each use the same car at every track, and keep using it until the rollcage gets creased beyond repair or until something newer comes along.

He drove his ass off after that drive thru penalty and got back to 3 position. He is one hell of a driver! I hope all is well Paul. Thanks for all your help to us over here with our cars.

Yes that was a real test of character....he was a class above the rest to pass all those guys to get back to the front and put enough points between himself and Winterbottom to win the championship.
The next 2 races at Sydney were just icing on the cake and the Frod guys are dirty about Whincup allowing Lowndes ahead in the pitstop queue, so that Lowndes could secure 2nd in the championship.
There's a whole raft of fine details that Vodafone micro-manage better than the opposition and often that's the difference at the finish line.
