Now that I'm going to have a garage most of my friends are going to be jealous of, I'm looking at 2 post lifts to really piss 'em off. LOL
Anyone have any experience buying this sort of thing?
There is a distributor here in Indianapolis.

That 1 with the roadster will suit your needs for many years. Keep the chains lubed and in winter if using make sure to put a heater near the pump so the oil can warm up a little. It makes the pump last longer and not work as hard.

Looks very similar to the lift at my friends shop, except newer and some added safety stuff.

Wow, not too pricey either considering what you get. Any idea how difficult the install is? I expect you need a very level floor if nothing else.

I do precision measurement for a living, so that won't be the issue. The private road I live on is a dead end, so the semi will have to back in, and stop at my driveway. Then how do you get this off the truck and down my drive to the garage?

I'm thinking there's a local place that can rent you a forklift.

Are there any rental companies close by? Rent a skid steer with forks or an off road forklift.

We had a few of those, but different make and various loads, among many other types of lifts for servicing our fleet. We liked them as they worked trouble free for the most part even with the abuse we subjected them to. The only real peeve the technicians had about them I think was working around the center post. But I do believe they loved them for the most part.
I would however, recommend a professional install consultation before purchase with all specs on hand for the pros. I believe the mounting foundation is important.
Just my :twocents:

Thanks EC. After doing some more research, concrete needs to be at least 3000 PSI, 4" thick. I'll ask the town building and structual engineer to consult.
Nice that they will do it for free on a private property. I'll even give them $30 for a permit. :robot:

Interesting. I'm going to a customer today with the salesman only a few blocks away from the lift distributor I'm going to buy my lift from. Told my wife it was God's Will. No, it didn't go over well. :(

LOL! I think I'd rather pay the low rental fee ($1.00) per day and drink all i can.
Nice lift, I'm starting to get jealous, specially with new mods coming out each day and oil leak rumors.
But my garage is spoken for by the boss so i may have to get my buddy at the hydraulic shop to hook me one outdoors for the back.
U lucky dog!
Cheers!
