View Full Version : Atari gauge overlay
This is a smoke overlay for Grafxwerks cut to fit the Atari gauges. It can be used by itself but will work with the New Era gauge panel. i'll be putting mine on during the weekend and post more photos.

Interested in see how it turns out.
I put it on today. It fit well for the prototype. It could stand to be longer if you wanted to use it without the NEP panel. The only thing I didn't like was the gloss finish of the overlay and I have e-mailed Ryan to see if it is available in a matte material. If not, I will probably put some clear flat in my airbrush, pull off the NEP panel and spray it after masking off around it.
Here are photos I took with flash and without flash. It is hard to photograph the display with an auto-camera.

Turned out very well.
I got a new one from Ryan.It is longer and fits better but there is still a small gap. Problem is it is tricky fitting this in and lining it up. This one is 1/4" longer than the 1st one but be another 3/32 maybe. I'm not sure which would worse, a little small or a little long and overlapping the side panel. I sprayed this one with clear flat . It worked well but I think I may have done too much. It is great at night and there is NO glare. I will have to see how it looks in the daylight and sunshine. My motto is "If enough is good, too much is better."

The NEP Panel is great. The smoked overlay makes it even better.

Looks a lot better. Does anyone know if the GXP has anything in this area?
