I have Kooks LT with X pipe... UD pulley... Vararam on order (on list for GB) dyno and tune are waiting on intake...Brakes are waiting on GM to have avaliable what else can I buy??

I have thought about ported TB and intake manifold but im very sceptical of performance gains from it... anything else?? Cam will be next but I want a few K miles on it first.

Not really into the "look pretty" mods!

I assume you're already tuned? Maybe a converter?

Suspension? I agree with Wreck on the converter. That is one of the biggest bangs for the buck.

I will not have a tune until the intake is on.. (dont wanna do it twice) and yes the converter is a good idea.. might do a tranny cooler at the same time (anyone make one for the G8? I know pcm4less has a nice plug in one for the TBSS)

What converter and stall should I get? I am also trying to find a good rear tire and wheel setup for it (Some 17 or 18" wheels with DR's if anyone has any ideas)

If you are going to do a cam later i would say a Precision industires 3200 would be sweet :D

honestly Im so use to the TBSS that im in heven with the stock suspension and its my daily drive so im thinking suspension will stay stock for the first few months :) may do swaybars and tower braces later but im not into the lowered look as its my "company car"

2800 is plenty on a DD. If it is a 2-3 day a week driver 3200, Weekend Warrior 3600. Get the ported intake and TB. It works!

how will it be pre cam? Still undecided about removing the DOD.. still looking for someone local that can do the work.

For the price difference I dont think you will see a big enough gain.

Charlie is working on a trick trans cooler setup. ;)

I have a Yank 3200 and I like it. I could even see using a 3400 or 3600.

Steve has a Circle-D 2800.

Wreck has a Yank 2800.

Charlie is using a Circle-D 3600.

Others like the PI Vigs. (Mike @ New Era and Matt @ Tune Time both use the Vig, 3200, I think)

I don't think you can go wrong with any of the three.

thats what im worried about... with ther #s they claim (taken with a grain of salt) it would be worth it but who even knows if they will make it for the G8... I would think they would as Weiand is in Austrailian company.

The LS3 intake makes a lot of power unported and porting it and the TB makes the throttle response GRRRR8!!!!

not enought choices but to many all at the same time :) I guess I need to figure out if I want a maggie or not before I decide about the manifold :)

We should have some back to back dyno numbers next week, showing the gains from our ported intake manifolds.

Also, if the weather holds, I'll have some track results with our FTI 3600 stall converter tomorrow night.

:woohoo:

let me know! I am interested but have never had much luck with ported intake manifolds (on the TBSS)

Yes I do have the Precision/Vig converter, Mine is 3200 rpm, Matt is 2800 rpm I believe. I am a big fan of their product, and they will restall it for you for free if you change your set up, only once though. I can have one shipped out to you within 1-2 days if you are interested, I don't stock them, I find out everything about your car and then call it into them when ordered so they are kind of a custom converter.

All my friends with F-bodies and Vettes swear by the Vig.

I agree with Charlie, ported the manifold and throttle body make the throttle responce "Grrrr8!" I recommend the setup from Fasterproms.

HOw would this intake even work with the L92 heads? If it fits the LS1, 2, &6, it must have cathedral ports, which won't work for rectangular heads, correct?

Correct. I think the Fast 92 is the only one and that will be overkill for most with minor mods.
