Got these from C.P. to test fit, makes a huge difference in the interior look. Easy to install, takes about 2hrs for all of them going slow. I hadn't taken off the door panels before, so someone who has done that could probably get them done in an hour or so. Highly recommended to do if you want to remove the silver trim from the car.

Thanks again for your help and install instructions. No matter how many of these black interior handles make their way into G8's yours was always the first.

I just read that some folks are getting cuts on their fingers from peeling coating on the stock silver interior door handles. The Onyx handles pictured above are molded black and have no coating to ever lift and cause injury or defective appearance.

Cuts? Never heard of that.

Nice update, may do them...but keeping stock trim

Paul will PM you about the other pieces shortly.

Believe it or not, some years December is the fastest month of all for Postal system shipments. 2012 tho was really bad on both sides of the Pacific. They're very rarely even bothering to scan the packages...so not much tracking info is posted online. Some things are taking 6 days (double the norm) to get from my PO to the entry point into USA [usually California]. US Customs can take another 6 days before the package hits the USPS system. Then USPS might take another 9 days to get an Airmail package from California to Florida.
I have noticed they're spreading the load away from California and using other non-usual entry points into USA.....so maybe there's a mountain of Santa stuff still clogging up the usual place.

I have an M6, though...believe the trim is different even after removing the auto "trim ring" on the console trim isn't it

I also have the full HSV gauge pacdash kit with the front and rear even-though-I-don't-smoke - "smokers" pack..

I have all This stuff and it made a huge difference in how it looks. The appliqués alone were a nice change the wife has commented several times why hers are not black.

I bet...but I would probably leave my horizontal dash pieces silver for now, as mine is a bit of a one off over the glovebox I would like to keep.

Yes auto and manual shifter surrounds are different in the shape of the central hole.
I can't find part numbers/available parts for Calais smokers pack or full sized front cubby with a black curved door, or for a manual black gear surround trim with the upward curve at the front to suit Calais/Omega/Berlina/HSV curved stereo surround trim.
Yes they'll exist in Series2 cars, but the black is much more glossy and shiny than the Onyx & Very Black in Series1.

CP,
I was able to find the blue clips but not the white ones. Have these part numbers been superceded by new ones? Do you get a deal on them or should I buy them locally? I am thinking of buying a full set in anticipation of some of them breaking when the door handles get swapped.

The part numbers are still good in AU.
GM in USA seem to be saying 90321122 is another number for the white clip.
I just buy each clip individually but still the prices are half the USA prices which leaves funds for Airmail easily. If you plan ahead 2 weeks before you need the clips it will work out cheaper.
