I need another key as well. I used to keep it in the cubby hole below the radio but every time I hammered the gas, it would shoot out to the back seats/floor boards. I found it once after missing for about 2-3 months. But the last time, it vanished for good. Not sure how. The only thing I can imagine is that it slipped into the holes in the carpet in under the seats. Either way, I need another key too. But at least my box wasn't locked.

That is a good question. How DO you lock your key in the Glove box

Yes there's a new lock cylinder and key set available. Part No 92181589.
The provided code on the label allows you to cut another key from a blank to suit the new lock.

Also new key blank...requires cutting to make a spare key. Part No 92203092

Hmm interesting. I haven't had the need to lock it in the past less than three months I've had it. Just looked at my keys and spares and no separate key. I always assumed my regular key would work.

I found mine, 3 days of turning the house upside down with no luck. finally gave up and thought waxing the car will help with the stress. Guess what it was in the box with the buffer. Not sure how it got there :uhm:

but glad i found it :brock:

Ya, how did you lock the key inside the glove box ?

Update on mine.. yea I don't have the key for mine. Got it used and neither had it on the key chain. Checked all over inside the car with the manuals and stuff and wasn't in there or anywhere in the car. So looks like i'm SOL unless I order a new lock and keys and get the keys cut.

You can get a new key from the dealer, cut. I had one replaced as it was missing from day 1.

Had the car since new for 3 years and 7 months and just realized I never did get the glove box key either. I guess that shows how much I needed it.

I have no idea. Really fkd up because you need the key to lock it. I did have 2 keys for it when I purchased the car so maybe I locked it and lost the other because I only had one of the 2 in the glove box.
