Ok, so I've had my g8 for like 3 months now, and been frequenting these g8 forums since a bit before then. I keep reading about "charlie's mod's" people are doing in addition to the semi-standard cai/tune/exhause/headers etc etc. I've looked, but the only mod I've seen is the heater hose (and i'm too much of a n00b to even know wtf that'd change). so yea...any info would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Easy peasy lemon squeezy!

I didn't do the lower panel mod due to my climate but it's a good mod if you are running stock, roto, or NEP fender style intake.

I will be going to the Vararam system soon which will negate the need for that hole. :)

Don't forget about your heater hose relocation kit Charlie!

It takes them off the intake manifold by replacing the lines with a different style you are able to run them near the strut tower. I think that mod is on hold until perhaps Silicon lines are made.
