OMG!

tons of power with the Patrick G tune behind it.

if you are considering, I have another thread about the spring seats. they are bigger than a stock set like what comes on the Livernois Stage 1 DoD kit.

In my opinion, these are awesome in power delivery.

I greeted the PRC owner at Birmingham International Raceway in Steele, Alabama. Really nice guy.

they are expensive but pound for pound, they are worth it.

Bahahahaha. I can see it being an extremely close race. Unfortunately we've gotta wait 'til the week of Sept 24th before we're gonna meet up and run 'em now.

Glad he's happy with the heads though that's for sure.

UPDATE:

These aftermarket cast heads must be paired up with the cam. my car was fast with them and the Livernois Stage 1 but I just paired them with a PatG spec'd cam.

Its a new world.

What size chamber did you go with? Also, did you go hollow intake valves. :secret:

65CC chambers. I don't think I upgraded to hollow stem stainless.

Yea Richards car whips mine now. Those PRC heads just really like high lift.
The Livernois stage 1 cam just wasn't aggressive enough for those heads, primarily on the lift side of things.
Get it to the track Pee Wee!

Just got a used set of these heads. They came with Manley solid valves and new seals. Any recommendations for this setup? I already have a mild cam, VMS 1.5 cam, it is a high lift med duration setup. What valve springs should I get?

I just switched to a RCR cam. I will know more when I take to the strip.

my springs were transferred over from the Livernois Stage 1 DoD kit. dual springs that I think will handle up to .670 or .690 lift. my new cam is only .625/.624 lift

Just a thought, how much more torque can a G8GT drivetrain handle? the reason I ask is that used to build Ford V8 and 302 GMC engines the u joints, axles, trannys suffered as did the rear springs that bottomed on a slam shift.

I never do any 6-2 downshifts

If I was to make a run, I would go into manual mode and then WOT

There are plenty if guys making 430-499rwhp and they don't break transmission or axles

But like most things, it's luck or unluck of the draw

First trans lasted all but 24K and second one bought used off a Camaro SS has 12K and lasted me 25K and getting that rebuilt now. So it's the luck of the straw for sure.

Not sure the DA was for that day. Hot for around here is what I remember about that day.

just trying to compare our mods and numbers.

on my EPS cam, my PB was 11.92@116.67mph but the DA was -650 or -700

I have since switched to a RCR lunati cam with less lift and durations on a tighter LSA.
