Check out thread 1... It's Onyx & Very Black Interior Mod Deal 50. There are two options. I liked option A. If you have a 2009 make sure you tell CP, there is an extra piece between the cup holder and armrest that you'll need. It's like an extra 15 bucks... I really like the new interior trim....

Please remember we are only talking about parts here to suit the stock single piece waterfall design centre stack. It meets the gear surround trim at a sharp angle.

If you have changed out the stock waterfall centre stack and installed HSV triple gauges or a GPS pod then you now have a Calais 2/3 height centre stack which meets the gear surround with a radiused curve. The Calais curved stack requires a totally different style of gear shift surround trim than we are talking about. Also GPS pods will not accept the style of horizontal dash appliques we are currently talking about.

Those with 2008 cars already have their switches in black.
2009 guys who change trim panels from Rado Silver (Charcoal) to black may also want to change their switches to black.

The Side Window and Multifunction switch in a 2009 car is Rado Silver from factory.
This switch is Left Hand Drive specific so the best option is to buy a 2008 Pontiac G8 black switch in USA.

The Holden version of black switches have words rather than symbols, they still work in a G8 but are more expensive than the Pontiac G8 part.

Just an FYI the steering wheel buttons are not available directly from GM.
You must have an account with GM's radio/cluster referbisher/supplier. The buttons are non refundable and non returnable.

I have gotten some for a customer in the past. They take about 2 weeks to arrive.

NO. There is no seperately available speaker cover in any colour for the internal doors.

Forget speaker covers, there is no such part from GM or Holden. It's not in Interior Trim & it's not in Audio section of Catalogue.

Yes the Airbag has to come off the steering wheel to fit new steering wheel spoke covers.
You can source an entire Holden Steering Wheel Airbag (stick to 2007-2010 versions) from somewhere [not me] or you can apply the Holden emblem from a 19" Holden VE Wheelcap on top of the existing Pontiac emblem.

I'm working on the Black Interior Door Handles, the aim of the game is to find something that will work in a G8.
Excellent news, the Onyx interior door handles from a model of Holden VE were sent over to USA and test fitted in a G8....they fit,look,and work great. The other great news is that if you have peeling silver satin chrome handles, these new Onyx handles are half the price of a new set of satin silver interior door handles. The Onyx handles also will not peel.
I'll start a new thread about the Onyx handles.

I've been looking for years and have never found one suitable. It could be from any Holden or HSV (2007-2009) except Holden SV6,SS, or SSV.
Series 2 (2010+) have black with the front curve, but the black is super glossy.

So, you have never seen a flat black radiused auto trans gear surround? Man that is rough.
It feels like I'm missing a trick.
You exclude all years of Series1 SV6,SS,SSV because they have the same one piece centre stack as G8, and the gear surround trim is flat and 390mm long.
The Series1 cars with the radiused lower stereo stack all have the shorter 365mm long gear surround with the upward curve at the front.
Of those:
The cheaper cars like Omega, Berlina generally have the shiny bright silver (Micro Silver).
The more expensive cars like Calais, Caprice/Statesman, & the HSV cars all had the Charcoal Dark Silver Metallic (Rado Silver).

The one I've focussed on most is the Berlina because some of those got a little pretentious and had some unique trim colours and patterns in some of the early years. It's like the design studio gave the guy with pink shoes and nipple rings the Berlina file to run for a year or two.

The D shaped ring around the shifter is never a part that can be bought seperately.

The cover wasn't cheap, but worth it in my mind. $72'ish.. I had a spare cover that I was going to paint, but gave it to peterg22000 instead..

The Pontiac shift knob and Onyx tube, can't remember. Just PM CP...

Are there onyx bits available with the HSV lower area I have?

I've got some curved front doors (which fit either the Calais smokers pack or Calais full width compartment), and also some of the short Auto gear surround trim plates with curved front.....these have been re-painted from 2009 Rado colour to 2008 Onyx colour.
The remainder will be the same Onyx parts as Joemomma has indicated.

Nope sorry. GM have made it difficult identifying the correct Part Number for 2008 Pontiac G8 Black.

They 2008 Onyx face will fit on a 2009 with no issues. I ended up getting a good used one off Ebay and swapping just the plastic over, due to the security lock of swapping faceplates without reprogramming. It doesn't take long to change over, just need a torx bit set, a soft surface to protect it, and patience.

The Jade Black gear surround trims are all shorter in length than your stock G8 gear surround trims.
All the Jade Black gear surrounds have a curve at the front to suit curved stacks.
None of the Jade Black traction control switches have Heated Seats buttons.

I have the 2008 Onyx heated seat and trac button in my Jade black console trim panel. I have the Jade window switches and I don't think I would like the Onyx version. The trac button is OK because it is up and out of the main view.

Yes I have the IQ.
Correct. I have the Jade headlight switch, window switch, and console top. Then I used the 2008 trac switch which is onyx. I also used the PPV cup holders since it doesn't have the silver trim on it.

For the rear piece behind the arm rest I stuck with the stock GXP rado silver piece, and I'm using the rear rado silver door on the ash tray.
