I have been in line, or on the list, for the Vararam for almost a month now so I called and asked on of the guys at Vararam a couple of questions. #1 sInce I had my name down very early on, am I getting mine before the group purchase, and #2 if not should I get in on the group purchase instead. He replied that he was unaware of any group purchases and that I was indeed "on the list" for the first run... Are we sure that they are acknowledging the group buy?

Steve is on vacation. He will be back on Wednesday. There were a few intakes shipped out today. They went to a few select people, tuners, probably Charlie.
The next 20 will be shipped out next wednesday. The next 50 to 75 after that.
I gave my CC today, but won't be charged until it's shipped.
Everyone can relax. We know they have an intake for sale now. Remember the people last on the list waited the shortest amount of time.

Even if something like that were to happen here (and it won't :)), you have up to 60 days to do a charge back with your credit card company.

Also, I don't believe they are charging your card until it ships.

The "List" is from this thread. That's why we told people to post "I'm in" in this thread. All we did was take the posts from here and combine them, in order, into one simple list of names.

Just to give you guys a heads up.
After a GRRRR8 discussion with Steve at Vararam, He explained some of the delays.
First off, were not the only forum with a Group Buy. The response from this forum was outstanding!
Production felt there were a couple things that needed to be improved, and it was best to wait until production could deal with them. One was the instructions. Obviously Vararam didn't want ANY of the 1st production units to be returned because of some minor issue.
This is a brand new production item, and it takes a couple weeks for production to get up to speed. As they build more unit's they will become faster at producing unit's.
My understanding is 15 of the 1st 20 are going to members on our Group Buy list.
If you didn't make it on this go 'round, those closer to the top won't have to wait more then 7 days to see theirs shipped.
I was 4th on the list, and mine did get shipped today.

The throttle body sits a LOT higher on the Maggie. I asked the same question, was told "YES" but I have heard nothing more when asked about specific details.

This is going to need a different coupler, that's for sure.
