Looking for the procedure to replace the airbag module under the center console, I believe that is where it is.

I have two to replace and the GXP needs to get done asap.

I just replaced the passenger side airbag, my second one and its not too bad once you find all the screws and learn how to get it out without breaking it, I wish the dismantler knew what he was doing when he pulled the used one I bought because I had it in and then found he broke the side piece off of it. I had to pull it back out and swap the airbag to the original dash piece. Not too bad but I hate doing things twice.

Thanks if you can come up with the procedure, I want to do it right the first time.

Also, after googling, can I swap a used one in without reprogramming it?

Or would it be easier/cheaper to send mine out to be rebuilt?

They also say they can rebuild the seatbelts, anyone have any info on that? I bought a set of seatbelts already but curious for the future.

I have had SDM's reset from these guys before with good results on my G6's.

Why are you replacing them? Accident?

Yes, I bought two Gt's and two GXP's to rebuild and maybe sell.

Two of them had the airbags go off.

It doesn't take much for them to go off, the sensors are mounted to radiator support and if that takes a good hit the bags blow.

I have seen cars that needed frame rails replaced and the bags don't go off.
