Ive heard good things about Gay, in Dickinson, but im hoping to possibly find someplace closer to me(im in Katy).

I have a fairly annoying 2-3 shift flare and im wanting to get it looked at and fixed. Charlie has seen the car and saw no leaks of any kind, so im assuming its a hardware issue at this point.

Im hoping to find someplace that does good work, and offers a loaner

Any ideas?

Shawn

I have tried quite a few myself and Gay is the best by far, sucks you are so far away.

I used them once for a radiator. No loaner but replaced it under warranty in a day or two

One of the Sales Managers who worked there had a G8. Nino. He did a very good job making sure his customers were taken care of.

One of the service writers, John is a fellow g8 owner and the dervice manager is a car guy, has a gto and drag bike and is mod friendly

I just called John at Gay Pontiac. Visited with him about our G8's for a minute or two, and then told him I had the 2-3 shift flare. I told him I had CAI and headers and wanted to get the flare fixed if possible. He told me that he could work on my car, but the warranty would be voided and I would have to pay for the repairs. Maybe he thought I was some GM employee charged with the task of checking up on service writers concerning this and was just spouting off the corporation's policy on such matters, but the fact remains...he said that if I brought my car to Gay Pontiac with CAI and headers they would void my warranty.

I'm not saying that you guys haven't taken you car in there and they did work on it with your mods. I'm not calling anyone a liar. All I am doing is reporting what my phone call yielded, and maybe help keep someone with a modded G8 from going in there thinking in good faith that they will welcome them with open arms when in fact they just may void your warranty. Beware.
