Will the G8 pass emissions [OBDII test] after a cam [DOD or non-DOD cam] is installed ???

I don't want to spend a few grand and have my car fail emissions.

If it is a OBDII test where just a cable gets plugged under the dash, YES.

Yes it is. In MD my 2005 Xterra just gets the cable plugged into the OBDII port and the gas cap checked. My 1990 Camry gets the gas cap checked and gets ran on the rollers for about 5 mins.

What does the OBDII test emission-wise ???

Readiness monitors in the computer. The rule of thumb is, no check engine light you pass, as long as you did not disconnect battery before test, if you do that it loses all readiness monitors and has to be driven in a certain set of parameters to make them ready.
