Since my G is used on nice sunny days, I decided to get something nicer than the Sentra I was driving. Opted for a new Buick Regal GS Turbo 6M. I got the factory 20s and sunroof.

So far the car is great. I'll keep you updated as I put some miles on it.

I like the GS Regals...nice choice for a driver.

I like both the 19" and the 20" wheels and the Front Brembo's...coupled with the manual turbo 4 cyl.

I bet it's fun to drive and zip in and out of traffic in.

Those are some of the nicest factory wheels I've seen.

Besides needing to lower it, the appearance is great! The wheels are definitely cool....

I just need to find a way to turn up the boost. Currently there is only one source for this and it is a mail order tune. Seems the guy doing it has wrote his own program to do it, but I am not liking that fact I cannot control what gets changed. Guess I will have to wait a while to get it tuned.

I was actually thinking of one of these to replace the G8... I just have an issue with the fact that the Verano can be had with the same engine and is faster than the GS. WTH? Great looking car though. Just FWD and a bit under powered for me to pull the trigger without knowing what the SS is going to be.

Agreed on the wheels. DAMN nice.

In another couple of years I will likely replace my DD Saturn with a Verano turbo with the 6-speed manual. My commute is now just 5.2 miles one way all on backroads and side streets. My need for large vehicle and issues like rowing a manual through 90 minutes of bumper-to-bumper traffic will be a non-issue at the end of this month.

It's A G8!

I wounder if those wheels fit the G8?

Car looks sharp! You buy it from Reichard? That's where I bought my G8 - awesome guys over there.

Yes they will fit the G8. Also nice ride, shame we didn't get the AWD.

JJ - your mission is to swap those tires and rims on to your G8, take some photos, and text them to me :)

I drove one of these before buying my Mopar 11 Charger for a daily driver. Very nice ride! My wife didnt think there was enough interior room and I got a great deal on the Charger. I was happy with either.

Congrats on the purchase..very nice Opel ..love the wheels
But I feel these are way overpriced for what you get. The wife and I looked at one for her last month and I almost collapsed when I saw over 40k on the sticker.

I paid 32k for mine, didn't mind that and it is a lease... $364/month.... As for the room,I have two little ones and there is enough room for us in it.

Jeff Reichard is a good friend of mine and we tear up some serious wine together. I bought my G8 from him too and I walked away paying 27K for my GT.

I have my buddy at Forgeline digging up some Insignia OPC springs and wheel spacers. I'm hoping he can find some as the car just needs to be a little lower and a little fatter.

BTW, the magnetic ride control is sweat! I can go from sporty to touring car at the push of a button.

I have a set of 20mm spacers coming for the BUICK. They are actually H&R stock pieces and would fit our cars if someone is wanting to widen the factory wheel stance. Here in the states everyone wants to do an inch minimum which is a little much if you plan on lowering the car, but H&R has stock 20mm pieces they sell overseas. I also have the OPC lowering springs coming from Europe, too.... Hopefully the extra offset and springs makes the Buick look the part.

I think I saw you on Wilmington Pk this week (Thursday maybe?). You were heading north, I was heading south. Car looked great!

Possibly... Since I work off Clyo, i frequently hit Wilmington getting on 675. I'm hoping the spacers show up this week. I am not sure how long until the springs, but....

I also found out today that my lease is too much. I need to go back to the dealership and resign the lease for $21 less a month! So ended up being $343/month...

I picked up the spacers for the Buick yesterday. I will try and get them on this weekend. Not sure when the springs will be here as they are an OPC item coming from Germany.

Got all four spacers on and it works out great. I didn't need to remove any threads from the studs and all cleared. Once lowered this thing will be PHAT!

Looking good so far!

Do you have HP Tuners? Try to get a scan on the car for them so they can integrate the car into their latest beta!

JJhummus

My tuner is going to do that next week. I did find out that EFILive already has it, but we don't feel like buying it to get the GSs boost turned up.

I see Trifect has a tune good for 77bhp... Not much info on it, but I'd like to see how the engines handle an increase like that.

I'm not much for the mail order tune scenario. There are several guys with the Trifecta tune and they love it for their stock set up. I plan on an external BOV and a couple little things like that, so I want to clean and sharpen it up based on my mods. I believe the Trifecta tune is using EFILive as he sends you a tool to log data, then sends the tune back in the tool for upload. If I wait on the HPT or my tuner gets EFILive, the cost is only $125 as compared to $399.

I was just making a point that more power IS possible... I have a VMS tune now and while it works fine and I've never had any issues, It's a bit of a PITA to make changes.

If I bought one I'd have to have a nice sounding BOV and CAI too. I tune for reliability as I drive my car daily, but I also like to have some fun...

This is a great looking car, but I don't think I can give up my HP and TQ for it... I'll wait to see what the SS is before pulling the trigger on my next one.

JJhummus

No worries... Your thoughts are mine on the CAI and BOV. I didn't give up the G8, so whenever I feel the need for speed, the G8 comes out.... All the other times the GS is there looking good and driving even better. Even if you are not interested in one, you should drive it and switch between normal driving and GS modes...

Well, I got the H&R springs on the Buick over the weekend. Looks good.

I also will be picking up the G8 this week after having the entire exhaust fabbed up.
1. Added merge spikes
2. Calculated secondaries using 3" mandrel bent 304SS
3. Termination box theory design
4. 2.5" 304SS rear section and loud flow through SS mufflers.

Buick looks sweeet. Cant wait to hear the G8's new exhaust setup. Can you post some photos of the exhaust?
