I have been using BAER brakes for a very long time. With the exception of those that track their rides, BAER has proven to me to be an exgtremely reliable product with very good representation.

We have been challenged with brake improvements on the G8. Justice Petes recent run on a road road coarse really shows the OEM brakes are not even close to dealing with this kind of aggressiveness.

AP brakes are available but they are $8K plus shipping from Au.

Our main Pedders dealer, Mike Haddad at Haddad Motor Sports, currently has his animal G8 at Baer getting fitted for their new style brakes.

I think this will be a great upgrade for everyone who drives it aggressively. Get your rotors slotted only if you will be doing some short track usage. Plated rotors are very good.

Baer has updated their rotors, which are a 2 piece rotor. So I am really excited to see the outcome. Mike Haddad will definately put them thru their paces.

I knew they would. I called them the day before I got my car. I will have a set for sure. Their Eradi-Speed rotors are some of the best in the industry for the price. Congrats Baer!

I would be happy with just the Eradi-Speed Rotors on all 4 and painted calipers.

I keep thinking about painting calipers, then I realize there's really no good choice. I suppose I could do black... the orange G2 has doesn't match IOM... makes it tough.

I have 2 GR2 red paint kits which is what I plan on doing. I really want to upgrade rotors at same time. I want to do brackets black and calipers red.

FYI - I run the Baer GT+ kit on my Trans Am in road racing. It's the tried-and-true 2-piston, floating-caliper design. I've also got their 2-pc Eradispeed rotors (with blank faces).

I have never had any problems with braking. I think the only guy I run with that can out-brake me is a Porsche 911 GT3 Cup car (not the street version - the factory racecar).

The only thing I don't like about Baer is their inability to play with others. Their rotor hats use 12-pt bolt patterns. No one else uses that, meaning you have to buy their products.

I got over that, though.

The system is their new rotors and calipers. I so not think they will call the Eradi-Speeds

oh you mean no smart-asses saying it can't be done because they supposedly have access to info no one else has and they like to make themselves sound like they know it all?

yeah... we like to keep it that way ;)

Anyhoo- to get this back on track.

Any chance in hell of these babies fitting on the 18" stock wheels?
My Long term goal is to run 20's in the summer but keep my stock 18's for winter driving so that's why :)

I believe they will fit the 19s. Not sure about the 18s

I thonk the prices will be in the $1895 per axle. that is seriously lower than the offshore unit that is available.

If you are going to road race, do not get the rotors drilled. just slotted and plated

I noticed you mentioned that before - why is drilled worse? less braking surface? Any pics of said system yet on mike's g8?

The only time I think that drilled rotors are OK is if they are actually cast into the rotors. Drilling them, can concentrate the heat so much, that under the realllllly severe usage such as a 25-30 lap roadrace run, can heat the rotors up so fast, that the venting cannot eliminate the heat fast enough,a dn service cracking can concentrate at the drilled holes.
Now the vehicles yo see road racing with drilled rotors, were actually had the holes cast in them when made

Will you be selling these break kits directly? or through pedder dealers, or where can we get these babies when they're done :)

I believe the axle set will be 1895. I think Mike Haddad is picking up his G8 tomorrow. So I think they are done.

I just did some checking. As far as I can tell the brake stuff is all done. BAER is doing testing and they ae a few days behind. So they are not ready yet. Sorry
