Anyone have had any issues with their doors not properly locking? Twice now I've been able to open the door after locking (setting off the alarm) . Looking through the other window I can see the door never locked. After some fiddling It happened both ways (e.g. Does not lock and does not unlock).
I manually locked it a few times and then finally it started working again, tough it seems to be lagging a bit behind the ohter locks..
Any suggestions?

I think it's been a problem for others. Check for water getting inside the door.

Yep. I had to get my rear passenger side lock replaced earlier this year. I had no idea it was not locking until my youngest son opened the door from outside before I unlocked it. I was outside of the 3yr/36000 warranty so I had to pay a deductible. Should have checked it sooner I guess.

Had the same problem, started doing it a few times a month then progressed to almost every singe time I locked the door.....Time to replace the actuator and call it a day. Not too hard to do. IIRC, there should be a write up on it.

I've had a door lock cylinder replaced as well. I was just over warranty at the time but the dealer took care of me anyway.

Actuator. Seen others with the same problem. Mine has acted up too. Then worked fine. Waiting for it to act up again to have it replaced. (Rear passenger side)
The trunk release actuator went bad too and was replaced a while back.

Do you guy daily drive your cars that are having this problem? Do they see rain and snow?
Mine will parked outside when I am not driving it in the summer and stored for the winter.
Are these mostly 08's or 09's?

Had the same problem but it was both front and rear passenger locks. Both actuators replaced. It's a pretty common problem apparently. Now my window switches are acting up. Typical low grade GM interior quality. Not happy about how cheaply built these little things are and starting to get tired of it. My wife's Honda has 100k on it with lots of family use and all the switches and gizmos work like still new. Too bad about GMs poor interior quality.

yeah it's my daily driver (08) and we do get rain & snow & tons of other crap up here.. (there's crud in places I never expect to see it!)
I ordered a new actuator/lock from Greg@pace so hopefully that'll take care of it..
I should probably also figure out what the deal is with my lights in my shifter that keep going half-dim... ugh. definitely seeing a few quirks now that I've hit 4 years/40k

Actuator here too, rear drivers side, replaced at around 10k, practically new.
No problems since, but I noticed the passenger side is slower than the drivers side lately.
I had the driver side rear door actuator replaced too. Sounds like a pretty common problem.

2008 w/35K (not DD) and both rear door locks just started sticking on lock or unlock. Cali car with low rain or humidity, parked indoors.

Yeah I meant actuator on mine. My car is in New England, it's my DD, and I drive it year round. I have a set of snows for the winter, and my summer setup for the warmer months.

My semi-DD(08), (only in the summer) rear passenger side sticks, give the remote another hit to honk the horn and it'll lock.
It sits in the rain sometimes and covered/not inside during snowy season.
Driven twice a month during snow season...

GTOs, GM trucks and other cars all have that issue. It's kinda like the window motors, they get used a lot for short amounts of time and are only little motors.

Just noticed both rear doors doing this. Seriously, can I have anything else go wrong with this car?
Anybody replaced the actuator? How hard is it?

My rear drivers door is doing this now. I will need to replace an actuator as well.

I found a write up on the other board. Somebody mentioned taking the current one out and cleaning it, worked for them. I wonder what the issue seems to be, with such consistent failures?

Judging from washing the car, the streamline tends to push water/dirt into that area on the rear doors. I could see how pulling it out and cleaning it would fix the problem.
