Pretty cool vids. That gives you a good idea of the speed/power differences between the two cars (obviously the G8 has the VMS tune).

Don't feel bad, I posted that up too and quickly removed it after learning it was a Grand Prix GXP. Initially I thought the camera car was the GT and the fast car was the G8GXP. From that video I thought the GXP was MUCH quicker than the GT and started wanting one again.

More importantly:

RWD > FWD

I think those cars had too much weight over their front wheels.

In a straight line, drive wheels don't matter all that much from a rolling start that's fast enough to not lose traction.

Do you need a special windshield for a HUD?

My dad's C6 has it. It's a pretty neat feature.

I think it has more to do with the dash than the windshield.

You need low refraction glass so the image isn't doubled. Occasionally, glass not listed specifically as low refraction still does the trick.

Agree with J, I know many people said that they just need a special coating on the glass to make the HUD reflect properly.


But I would also of course love to see this on my G8. Only things I miss about my GTP are the HUD and the nice Supercharger whine. :)

I like those oval exhaust tips, they look much better than the dual/duals or the 4" round ones. Does anyone know what catback that is, it sounds great.

Thanks I must have missed that. I'll be doing the straight pipe/muffler delete shortly, I'll have to mike sure I use oval tips. I found these on Ebay but the seller has TERRIBLE feedback.

I like that tip as well, only problem it's a 2 1/4" i/d. I'm going to 2 1/2" all the way. 2nd time we posted that guy's ebay auction too. I noticed the same thing about his feedback.
