Changing the thread title per some persuasion. Sucks to see another lifter failure. Make me think I should keep my extra 8 for safety stock... Will start working on the termination box parts tomorrow. Calculated everything in Pipemax today and came up with my primary and secondary header lengths and diameters.

I think it was a rocker arm failure so you should be okay...assuming that you did the trunion upgrade with your recent engine mods.
We need to get some guys together soon. A few of us hit Edgewater last weekend and it was a good time.

MAN I hope they work out this time! You've been through too much on these to have more troubles.

Those wheels look good. Definitely post some pics once you get them on.
Marty, now that the car is running again, we should meet up around Middletown for dinner or a beverage.

That is usually a good feeling, but sucks you have to tear the engine apart.

Travis came over this morning, and we got a lot off the car today. Should have no problem pulling the engine next weekend.

Is anyone in the Ohio area looking for Camaro Brembos? I have a front and rear set that is going to be a pain for me to install with my wheels. So, I think I am going to pass on the brakes. I have all four corners worth of rotors and calipers that have rough 5K on them. They really look spotless except for the normal rotor wear. I have the 14mm hardware for the front, the Squash Performance rear kit, and the drill for the front knuckles. I'm asking $500 for everything. I would rather not ship all this, so anyone that wants to meet for the exchange, I will go half way. I'm outside the Dayton area and would really travel an hour in any direction to meet. If I don't hear anything by 7/1, then I will post in the For Sale section. Let me know, really want the 3.27 Camaro rear end...

Went for a little spin this morning and turned the ESP off as there are a couple people asking to see it go without it on. Had to lift after shifting in to second as she was getting a little too sideways for the kink in the road that I was approaching quickly. That is the reason for the 65mph hesitation. Once back on it, you can see it sling back up into the power.

Ordered falken tires for the GXP wheels. ordered deep sump trans pan and filter from Greg. Still trying to figure out a cam and valve train.
EDIT:
Tires are here already. Taking the wheels to get them mounted!

What are you trying to figure out about the cam and valve train?

i think I have a cam picked out. No one on this board, or my local board has commented on my selection.
I'm going with Lunati link bars.

Is that black powdercoat? Doesn't look like black chrome or anything.
Interested to see how they look.

Rick usually chimes in here. I am not up on the Lunati pieces you are talking about. I have done a bunch of research on the cam aspect though.....

California Chrome calls it Fusion coat. Black powder coat plus clear powder coat.

I'm talking with Mike Norris, the cam selected is just a little too much on the race side for me. Gonna go just a little smaller.
this is a single bolt cam. I'll need a new cam gear if I go with this one.
