Talking with a dealership who has a 2009 G8 GT with every option including sunroof and two-tone leather interior. ~7,000 miles

Offered to me at $25,400.

I have heard some people getting new 09's in the 26,000 range but honestly I'm really not sure what prices these cars are going for, aside from what I've seen on AutoTrader/Cars.com.

Any comments?

Thanks!
Brad

Yeah seemed pretty legit to me, also. I wonder if Pontiac/GMAC is offering any financing specials right now?

Only thing is I don't think they've certified the car at this price. Not that it really matters to me because I'm going to rip it to pieces... but hey....

Grrrr8!

Car dealers are hurting right now just like everyone else. Play with 'em a bit and I bet you can get them down more! I just did it a month ago....drove mine off the lot $4,000 under what the sticker said!

That actually seems about right. Even with 7000 on the ticker, the fact that it is so early in 09 makes that a good price. I bought my 08 at the end of November with 4600 miles on it for a walk out price of $25,500, so IMO you are getting a good deal. Check your local Credit Union and they can tell you if that is a legit price. They may need a buyer's order just in case.

I bought a 09 with only 280 miles, premium package, certified, for only 22,700.

Chesrown has an 09 with premium, sport, and 500 miles for very close to what I paid.

Damn, now that's the deal :)

I paid MSRP :) Still worth it!

Deals are out there, you just have to be patient and sometimes travel for them. I was very happy to find a great price, color I wanted, and only 2 hours away.

My issue is that I'm only really looking for 2 colors: White or Silver.

Chesrown has Panther Black, and I will never own another black car as long as I am alive :)

There is another NC car w/o sunroof and Sport package. 2008 model, $23,500 was the offer I got yesterday (which was $2000 less than their asking price).

But, sunroof is a biggie for me.

You actually may be better off getting a non-sunroof model anyway and then having a nice Webasto installed afterwards. The factory sunroofs are Webasto Hollandia units anyway (if I recall correctly) that are installed after the vehicles roll off the line.

Just a thought. I think an install plus the cost of the roof usually runs $600-$900. Which is right in line with the option cost for the sunroof anyway.

And this way you get to keep the sunglass holder. (Which I do use and fine quite convenient)

I think the real question is wether the deal is good for you? Is it the car and options you want? Does it seem like a fair price to you? I wanted Ignition Orange and i happened to find one with 10k, they were originally asking 24 and i ended up getting it for 19. I didn't get what i wanted for my Avalanche when i traded it in but it really ended up being a fair deal so i'm happy! and my POS avalanche is gone.

Every dollar you save can be spent on mods for it

I bought mine, 2008 premium, s-roof with 5,1xx miles for $24,500. Guy had to move it quick though due to taking a job in Brazil to design a website for a large company down there. Plus I bought it early enough before the car gained the popularity it has now...If I was a fish, I would bite at the offer.

With the present incentives available, the price of a GT sport can go from the list of $33,210 to $25,440 in a heart beat. I just priced one yesterday and it got to the $25,400 number and then they looked at the wife's 95 Impala. and offered $4500.00 on it. I told them $5000.00 trade-in and we were working a deal. I will see tomorrow, how long it will take for them to get the color car that I want.
