We at Precision Motorsports have teamed up with FTI Competition Converters to offer you this one time only introductory sale!

Regular pricing on FTI's new SRLG series Torque Converter will be $849.00 plus shipping. This lock up converter comes with a Billet Cover, Billet Piston, Furnace Brazed and Tig Welded with a 3 Year Warranty!

We are going to offer the first 5 converters sold at an introductory price of

$789 Shipped!!!

I have the 3600 stall in my personal G8, and I have to say, this is the best bang for the buck by far! It really is amazing how much this one piece really wakes up a vehicle. I was planning on having track results this week, but the track is closed due to a national event, so they will have to wait until next weekend. I know what I am expecting, but I will let the numbers speak for themselves.

This price is good for only the first 5 units, so first come, first served!

What would a 3600 stall do for a stock G8GT?

I have the 3600 stall in my otherwise stock GT, and I need to tell you, it changes the car completely. It really woke the car up. And the driveability really isnt an issue at all.

Here is a quote from John Adams (gator's99TA) who is very well respected in the LSx community....

ok, well for any of you G8 owners out there, let me tell you that i have been around the LSX community since the begining and have been around and driven MANY MANY converter cars. I will tell you that this 09 G8 GT with the FTI converter is truely the best street/strip DD cruiser i have ever driven. the car hauls ass with this converter and yet maintains all of its OEM driveability quality. FTI and Rich @ PM-FL got this combo right on. I cant wait to see this combo at the track, because i know it will see a really nice improvement. the real beauty of this combo is how well it wakes up the stock OEM potential of this L76 and 6L80e on the street.

I am shooting to get to the track next weekend, so I should have some results to post then.

Thanks!

Hey Rich,

Can you please explain the benefit of changing the torque converter for a daily driven car, if any? It seems to me that this mod is really only beneficial to those wanting to run sticky tires at the track. Otherwise, if the car is making good power, won't it just induce wheelspin from a stop more frequently?

Pardon my lack of knowledge regarding automatic transmissions. All of my cars up until this point have been manual :)

Many thanks!
Brad

Hey Brad-

Swapping out the torque converter has its benefits on the track, and on the street. Yes, it really does shine on the track, because you are able to launch harder with some sticky tires. But on the street, it gets your vehicle up in the powerband a lot faster. And yes, if you just go WOT from a dead stop you will leave a big pile of rubber behind you, but you do not need to go WOT to get going, and see the gains. Just a moderate roll into the throttle will show you what you have been missing, and keep the tires planted.

Any other questions or concerns, just ask.

Thanks!

Rich,
Are you running a trans cooler? If so, which one?
Thanks.

Yes, I am. I am using a Hayden Transaver Heavy Duty, 24000 GVW. Make sure you get a plate style, not a tube and fin.

Excuse the ignorance, but doesn't the trans cooler block off a significant part of the radiator? What effect does that have on engine cooling?

if your thinkin about diving in, be sure to git a plate style and not the tube and fin style. they cost a little more but make a world of difference. i had to find out the hard way on my yellow truck...:spank:

No, I meant what I said as a compliment to you, no need to apologize. Hope things straighten out some for you in the very near future.
