my blaupunkt rear lcd is not working

hi guys ,,,, i recently bought a lumina SS 07 which is the equvlant of the pontiac g8 08,,, it has a OEM rear mid blaupunkt lcd & dvd player ,,,,

the thing is that whenever i play a dvd in the back player,,, the voice goes on but the lcd is does show any thing as if its off!

any ideas ... expecting the experts opinions!

The states never got the rear DVD unless it was a Pontiac accessory and even then I am not sure who supplied it....

Are there any buttons on the screen itself? Like a menu or adjustment button? If pressing the menu button shows anything, the screen is ok but the drive is bad... if the drive allows you to load discs, but the screen never shows anything (player settings menu or otherwise), then id say the screen is shot...

hey man ,,, i can load a dvd ,, and i can hear the voice from the speakers yet i cant see anything on the lcd !
